A/N: A quick change of story, if other potential characters get to camp half-blood and this is only to get my imagination laid out. Not canon and not cliché related, just to let my imaginations set free. It's cliché on it's own way.

A girl with flowy brown hair, short physique and other facial features like hazel brown eyes and plump pale lips was walking along down the hall with a book in her hand. She cared more about her books than anything else, not until she reached Camp Half-Blood. Being named after a hero's wife, someone who brought her own husband burden, murdering him. It wasn't the best thing ever.

She was clueless, without much information about herself. She knew little about being a demigod, though learning about mythology in 6th grade, she didn't really believe in it.

Ever since she was 7 years old, her dad told her stories about her mom, though knowing she left her alone in an early age. She looked up to her mom more than anyone else. She's always noticed her dad admiring her mom even though she left him alone with their two daughters. Expecting him to raise them all alone in a household small enough for them to fit in. Her dad was smart, for all those years being alone, he managed to raise his two kids properly and even teaching them on the way. He knew he had to let them go eventually.

The time has come, a year late actually. She was 13 years old when she found out she was a demigod, being claimed at Camp Half Blood and on the way there, coming across certain monsters was serious business. It all started when Nico di Angelo found her sitting alone.

Deianeira's Point Of View
I still haven't figured out why my Dad and my Mom would ever name me after a murderer, What were they thinking? Deianira isn't so bad yet her history still appeared scarring to some. That fact didn't help.

I was sitting alone in the dark in the middle of the night. I tend to do that every now and then. Just to get space, away from anywhere and anyone else. Gives me time to think. I liked being alone, as bad as it sounds, I don't have any close friend. I'm satisfied with myself and I don't need anyone to sustain my happiness. Well, that's not until I met Nico di Angelo.

Shadow travelling was a thing for a child of Hades, specially for Nico di Angelo. It was dark at that time, and was perfect for a little sneak attack by none other than Nico. I jumped a bit when I noticed someone was sitting beside me just munching on his cheeseburger. Unusual for someone with a black aviator jacket and ripped jeans to show up like this yet it happened. I didn't like it when my privacy gets invaded but it felt different when it was with him, it felt okay. It felt fine.

He starts the conversation by going with the iconic, "Ciao Bella" meaning, Hello Beautiful. As stunned as I was, I replied "Ciao". He smiled and asked, "Tu mi puoi capire?" You understand me? My brain quickly translates. I went with my instincts and naturally said, "No, Non posso parlare né capire l'italiano." meaning, No, I don't speak nor understand Italian. Wait, how did I do that?

"Un naturale" He says, basically saying A natural.
What does he mean by that? How do I suddenly know how to speak Italian?

"You're a demigod." He says and takes a bite in his cheeseburger. "I'm a demigod too, Son of Hades." He says, Introducing himself, "Pleased to meet you, I'm Nico di Angelo." He gestures a handshake and I hesitate, taking his hand afterward.

"Me, a demigod? Are you sure about that?" I ask, staring at his cheeseburger. This makes me hungry, I wonder. "Yeah, a Greek one actually." He continues. Oh sure, I thought to myself. With all these mixed information, the one thing I ask is, "Care to explain how random it was for you to pop up beside me without me noticing?" He giggles and crumples the remaining plastic wrap from the cheeseburger he was eating. That's when I notice he finished the burger already. "It's Shadow Travelling, A Hades child thing." He explains.

"I've been learning all about you, Deianeira." He continues, locking his deep black eyes on mine. I can't help but admire his gaze. That's weird. That never happens. I never felt that way towards a person til now. Stop it, I told myself. You barely know him. "You're pretty admirable. For me, anyways and that would work for everyone else too. Camp Half Blood will be your new family. And about time too."

"So, what happens now? What if I'm a demigod?" I curiously ask, not knowing why it should be a shock to know one is a demigod. "You go to camp... Camp Half Blood." He explains, fiddling with the fur in the rims of his jacket. "Camp what now? How are we supposed to get there? What if I get seen sneaking out with someone I don't—" He grabs my waist as he jumps to the nearest shadow. I feel sudden dizziness and I attempt to open my eyes. Everything seems blurry at first then I notice Nico still having his two arms around my waist, looking straight at me.

"Nico, where am I?" I pull away from him, and I look around me. The place was dark, filled with bunks and other dark looking stuff. "My cabin," He says and grabs my hand, "Come on, Let's get you to Chiron." He continues, pulling me with him.

He introduces me to a centaur and that centaur tells me about Camp Half Blood and what to expect as a demigod. Apparently, he's immortal and his name is Chiron. Understandable, Respectable, I thought to myself. It's pretty complicated putting all these new puzzle pieces together, figuring out these new information and connecting them is a pretty challenging job. Must be hard for other demigods. Specially those with more complicated back stories.

As the time went by, the sun eventually set. Nico leads me to the dining pavilion and sets me down at the Hermes table, before then I hesitate. I think for a few minutes, awkwardly standing up near the Hermes table. I felt like I didn't belong there, like I belonged somewhere else. And that's when a shimmery pink glow starts above my head, I look up and see a figure of an owl. I got claimed by Athena.

Nico runs to me and hugs me, "I'm so happy you got claimed by Athena!"

"Woah there, Nico" I laugh and hug him back, "Why is that?"

"I didn't want you to be a Hades child. Certain reasons." He pulls away and leads me to the Athena table. The cheer eventually died down, I made some friends at the Athena table but none struck me as much as it did with Nico.

"Nico definitely likes you" A friend whispers. "Yeah, he's never really been that happy towards someone" Another agrees. Sure enough, It was intimidating. Nico would never like someone like me, It's impossible. But surely, I was developing feelings towards him.

The next morning, Nico approaches me in my cabin.
Waving outside the door, gesturing me to come to him like he had something important to say. "Hey Nico, Good Morning." I sleepily greet him, "Good Morning, Deia." He puts his arms around my shoulders and looks down at me, "Deia?" I ask, What a stupid nickname, I thought. "Deia, short for Deianeira. You don't like it?" He explains, and I faintly laugh, still sleepy. "No va bene. Mi piace." I unexpectedly say, basically saying No it's okay. I like it. He laughs, "Glad you like it." With his arms still around my shoulders, He guides me to the nearest bench and helps me sit down. I lay my head down his shoulder and eventually started sleeping again.

Nico, on the other hand, let me sleep til it was eventually moving time. "Deia. Deia, Wake up." He shakes me and I slowly open my eyes, "Breakfast." He smiles at me and takes my hand. He helps me up and guides me to the dining pavilion. "Come to my table when you're done. I wanna talk to you more since you fell asleep on my shoulder when I wanted to." He laughs and heads down to his own table.

After I ate, I did what he suggested and headed down to his table to talk. "Finally woken up, Deia?" He asks, leaning down on the table. "Yeah." I say, looking down at him, "What did you wanna talk about?"

"I don't know. Maybe, Get to know you more?" He smiled, fiddling with his fingers. "Sure Nico, What do you wanna know?" I ask, leaning back.

I tell him all I know about me, my dad, my childhood and everything he wanted to know. He did the same with me, I knew about his sister, Bianca. How he'd lost her and how he'd find Hazel, his new big sister. I discovered a lot about Nico and he seemed free to tell me all about him. He trusted me the way I trusted him. I'm starting to like this guy more and more.
