#5. Sunkissed (Solangelo Special)

Will's Point of View.

I'm outside, laid down at the soft grass, looking up at the sky, the sun focused at my face.

"Hey-" I jump a bit, I didn't notice Nico laying down next to me, His hands placed at the back of his head. When did he get here? How did he get here? Has he shadow travelled or I just didn't notice him coming up to me?

"Sorry Nico, I didn't see you there. Are you okay?"
I look at him and notice that he's looking better than usual, I mean he's always looked the best but he still never fails to impress me. His beautiful dark eyes were focused up at the sky, admiring the flow of the clouds.

"I'm fine. You?" I stayed staring at his face, not noticing he already answered my question. "Will?"

"Ah, yes? Y-yeah, I'm okay!" I quickly answer, Why'd I stutter like that? That was really awkward. Keep it together, Will.

"That's good." He meets my eyes and I look away. What would he think now that he saw me staring at him? He let out a little giggle and sat up, looking at me directly in my eyes.

"You.. You have really beautiful eyes, Will." He shyly says. I can't help but get flattered, I've been liking Nico for the past few months now and I haven't told him.

"Thanks." I suddenly feel like now's the time to tell him, Do I tell him? Would he reject me? Would he accept me? I really wanna tell him though, I can't keep it anymore.

I eventually sat up next to him, finally getting the urge to tell him what I really feel, "Nico, I.." He looks at me waiting for a continuation, "I like you." We continue stare at each other, I look down trying to avoid his eyes. Why isn't he talking back, Was that bad? What if he doesn't like it? What if he rejects me right here?

He grabs me by my cheeks and makes me look at him. He kisses me and eventually pulls out. As stunned as I am, I don't move from my spot. He lets out a little laugh, "It's okay Will, I like you too." I pull him back towards me and hug him tightly, keeping him in my arms, "Thank you, Nico." We stay like that til' Jason comes up to us.

I notice how Jason looks at us in awe as he jumps for joy. I stand and help Nico up. Jason walks up to us and tries to hide his smile, "Will, someone needs you in the infirmary.. And you guys proposed to each other yet?" Nico smacks him and laughs. "Hey Nico, atleast you could say you were sunkissed" Jason lets out a loud laugh and gets smacked by Nico again.
