Via's POV

It was only the second day of school, and I was already tired of getting up early and to look cute. I dragged myself out of bed, and turned off my alarm, which had been beeping loudly.

I took a quick shower and put on a black T-shirt with some black jeans and my white huaraches. I decided to brush my hair into a lower ponytail and put on my favorite gold necklace that Brandon got me a while ago.

Then, walked to the kitchen to make myself a bowl of cereal. I was so tired, even though I went to sleep early due to being bored out of my mind, that I felt like I was going to pass out at any moment now.

I grabbed the Cinnamon Toast Crunch from the cabinet, the milk, and a bowl.

“Hopefully this will wake me up some,” I thought to myself.

My mom came out of her room with a rolling bag and her purse and keys in her hand.

Mom: Good morning. I'm staying after school late today to tutor some of my students and make my lesson plans.

She walked over to me and gave me a kiss on my forehead.

Me: Okay.

Mom: You can't go to Brandon's house today, because I need you here with your little sisters and to do chores.

I hated doing chores. I was the only one who pretty much did them, because my brother always had an excuse to why he couldn't, my sister, Mya, was always at band practice and debate meetings, and I'm guessing that my mom didn't make my younger sister do much because she was way younger than all of us.

Me: Yes, mam.

Mom: 'Kay. Clean the bathroom, straighten up the living room a little, and clean the kitchen. It should be done before I get back home.

She said as she made her lunch.

Me: Funn.

I said sarcastically under my breath.

Mom: Alright, I'm gone. Don't miss the bus.

Me: I won't.

She went of of the door, got in her car and left.

I went to wake up my youngest sister, Yana who was past out on the couch with her favorite blanket over her and her phone in her hand.

I knew she had been on it all night and that she was probably going to be very tired at school today because of it.

Me: Yana wake up, you slept in late. You can't be late to school, because Mom already left and there will be no one to drive you there.

At moments like this I wish I had a car so that I could take them to school myself if I had too, but we couldn't afford one or afford driver's aid so I was just going to have to be patient with getting one.

Yana: Huh?

Me: Get up.

She got up slowly and started getting dressed.

I went back into the kitchen to find Chase hovering over my bowl eating my cereal.

Me: What are you doing? How are you just going to come here eating someone else's stuff?! You know you didn't make that.

He turned around and smiled at me with a mouth full of cereal.

Chase: This is good. I didn't even know we had Cinnamon toast crunch.

Me: “We” don't! I bought that myself!

Chase: Ohhhhh.

I took a deep breath and decided to just let it go. I didn't want to go to school pissed of, because I needed to be able to focus and keep my positive energy up...even though I didn't dress like I had positive energy.
