Little Ninja

Clouse is Back

Here's chapter two, sorry it's terrible. But please enjoy. 😉

The ninja were not happy. It was a Thursday night, the worst night of the week. It was Cole's night to cook.

Although the black ninja had promised that they would like what he was making, the others weren't so sure. Cole had a habit of picking out weird food to make.

So, when dinner can around, the other ninja took their time getting there. Then, Cole came out of the kitchen, carrying a pot in his hands.

"Hope you're all hungry," Cole said. "Because I made five alarm chili for dinner."

Cole served his chili and sat down. He looked around the table and saw no one eating his chili.

"Is anyone going to try it?" Cole asked.

"No thanks, I don't like spicy food." Nya said, thinking quick. Colt then looked at the others. They all quickly thought of excuses of their own.

"I do not need to eat." Zane said.

"I'm, uh, on a diet." Lloyd came up with.

Cole looked at Jay and Kai, waiting to hear their excuses. He knew they were all lying, except Zane, who really didn't need to eat, but could. He hoped that they would actually come up with good excuses.

"I need to go to the bathroom?" Kai asked more than said, then left the room, leaving only Jay to come up with an excuse. And Jay couldn't come up with one.

He sighed and put his spoon in the chili. He lifted it up from the bowl and started to move it towards his mouth. The others, except Kai, watched as the spoon got closer and closer to Jay's mouth. When the spoon was just seconds away from being in his mouth, he was saved by the alarm. The ninja all sprang up from their seats and ran into the main room.

"What's going on?" Lloyd asked as Nya looked on the computer.

"We're getting reports of a ghost attacking Jamanikai Village." Nya said.

"That can only be one ghost..." Kai said as he entered the room.

"Clouse." The ninja all said in unison.

"Then let's go." Jay said, eager to get out of eating Cole's chili.

Five minutes later, the ninja were at Jamanikai Village, looking for the evil ghost. They had decided to split up to find Clouse: Kai and Nya, Cole and Jay, and Lloyd and Zane.

"Do you see anything?" Jay asked Cole.

"No, but keep your eyes open. He could be anywhere." He said as they walked through the village.

"Well, if it isn't two of the famous ninja." An all to familiar voice said from behind Jay and Cole.

Jay and Cole quickly turned around and saw just the man (or rather ghost) that they were looking for.

"If it isn't the evil ghost who managed to escape the Cursed Realm." Cole said to Clouse.

Clouse only smirked. Then he fired spells at the two ninja. They dodged the spells and tried to attack Clouse, but it wasn't working out to well. Every time they got close to him, they'd almost get hit with one of his spells. And with each missed spell, Clouse grew angrier.

Then, while Cole turned around and called for backup, Jay distracted Clouse.

"I said this once I'll say it again, magic's for wussies!" Jay yelled over at Clouse, which just made him even angrier. Then, Clouse saw his opportunity to put his plan into action.

"Oh really? I'll show you what magic can really do." Clouse said, then babbled some words and shot his spell. But it wasn't aimed at Jay... it was aimed for Cole, who had has back turned while calling the other ninja for backup.

"Nooooo!" Jay yelled, then pushed Cole out of the way and got hit with the blast instead.

Cole watched as his best friend fell to the ground. He was unconscious, but Cole saw he was breathing. He then turned back to the ghost.

Clouse has a big smirk on his face after seeing what he had done. "That'll teach him to say that magic is for wussies." Clouse said, then gave a laugh.

Cole felt his anger rising in him. That ghost had just hurt his best friend. He was going to pay.

Cole ran over and started attacking Clouse. But his attacks had little to no effect on him as almost every punch went right through him.

"Well, this has been fun." Clouse said after two minutes of Cole attacking. "But I really should be going before Nya gets here." With that, Clouse vanished like the coward he was.

Cole then ran back over to Jay. He quickly took off his ninja mask and saw there was no scars or marks on his face. He was still breathing and his pulse was strong, so it looked like Jay would be okay.

The other ninja came running over the them and asked, "What happened?" Cole quickly explained the situation and they all look Jay back to the temple.

"He should be okay." Zane said as he met with the others in the kitchen. "My scanners show no signs of physical damage."

"Well that's good to hear." Nya said and smiled.

"Did Clouse do anything to him?" Lloyd asked.

"I'm not sure." Zane responded. "There are no physical signs of it, but magic can be very tricky."

"So, there's still a chance something could happen to Jay?" Cole asked.

"I'm afraid so." Zane said.

They were all quiet for a moment before they all decided to go to bed, unaware that they would be in for a surprise tomorrow.
