Chapter one : Emiline

"It's just beautiful."

The skies were a bright hue as was the sun that settled in the West. Our sunset was only minutes away from finishing, but I could never leave it. Not even when the night turns dark and the stars shined their hollow glow down upon us; the creatures of the forest.

"Emiline!? What on plant Zenafere are you doing out this late? Do you know how worried Queen Edna will be when she learns of your disappearance?"

I turned around and came face to face with a blonde haired, brown eyed
Second in command, my lady in waiting, Raila Furnance. Her short and petite physique matched mine perfectly. We could be sisters and foul the civilians of village Ōui.

"It's already become so late has it?" I asked the sky full of stars,"Then I shall retire and call upon my lady in waiting when I feel the need to socialise."

My white silk gown swayed in the light and created a brilliant light as I made my exit.

The halls were silent tonight, there was no sound, not even a heartbeat within the halls apart from my own. The only thing that made it possible to see was the candle that I held within the palm of my hands. It was peaceful in the dead of night, no one would be up to disturb me. The only thing I could hear was the soft thud of my bear feet as I walked down the hall. It was cold, not that I minded it. It sent a pleasant chill down my spine.

When the sound of padding feet came to a halt I quietly opened my doors and entered the chambers.

I was in fact, all alone. In the dead of night I stood at the centre of my room and blew out the candle. Everything went dark as I placed the candle on the small round coffee table and walked towards my bed. The pillows were plush and the blankets soft. A little sigh escaped my lips as I climbed under the sheets and let its warmth ingulf me.

Tomorrow things would change.
