Chapter four : Emiline

Strolling along the courtyard I looked for a flower that would be used in our Lunar Siorèe. It had to shimmer and shine in not only the daylight, and the nightfall as well and I think I know exactly where said flower is.

"M'Lady, we must hurry, the Lunar Siorèe will begin very soon."

"It's best not to hurry things Gilford. Patience is key." I could practically feel them roll their eyes and think about how such a young princess is so disrespectful towards such an important event.

"Yes M'Lady.."

My eyes skimmed past all the flowers until they landed on a white Oracle. It was such a surprise to see these flowers. Picking my the skirts of my gown I made my way through the flowers and carefully picked the stem of that precious snowflake.

"I found it."

"Excellent, now come M'Lady, we'd hate for you to miss such an important event."

"Yes, of course Gilford." I wonder if they knew I would be the one preforming the Lunar Siorèe...

I changed into the snowflake robes that Sister had handed me personally. So beautiful, white shimmering corset and a skirt that fall in ribbons, ribbons fall from the shoulders of the dress as well. The embroidery was spectacular - A frost Nymp.

I walked around the room in silence, stopping at the vanity where the snowflake teiara lay peacefully. It's frost sparkled in the light of dusk.
Silently I lifted the teiara and placed it on the crown of my head.

When I heard the door open I knew it was time. My feet glided past the floor of this castle and onto the hard ground of our homeland. The flower was placed in my hands and that when I started. I'd been practicing this dance, I wasn't too sure what for until just last month. Everything is better, every daughter will stop and stare and wish upon the brightest star of the night sky to be like the girl dancing like the angles themselves.

My hands swayed above my head and the towards my chest as I made simple twirls towards the stage. I made sure to keep my face passive, creating an angle like feel. The flower gleamed as I danced around people and waved my hands here and there.

Once the I reached the stage I held my head high, closed my eyes and spoke the words everyone's been dying to hear,"Duxit nos lumen quod in te est tenebrae nobis. Tu nobis, vitam duxit, cum omne quod est mors. Nos autem vobis lunam et stellas ... amicus."

There is only one reason I'm here on the stage, it is because I'm the only one with the sight of the sun. A sixth sense some would say. In a way I'm the only one here that could see the Nymps, not that any of the village folk would know of that..

When my eyes opened I could feel them, so could the others. They were coming.

Sparks of silver whizzed last and the second I blinked the flower I placed in the altar had disappeared. They accepted...

Smiling I said aloud,"The Nymps have passed our land and so to does the flower we placed inside the altar. They've accept our alliance once more!" Cheers and laughs of happiness were heard afar, it was a pleasant night. Now all we had to do was wait until midnight, when the clock struck twelve and the moon reached its peek.

I walked down the altar, some children ran towards me and hugged my legs,"Princess, your so pretty!"

"Princess can we play together?" I knelt down until I was face to face with the children that would be our next generation.

"Thank you for your compliments, but I can't play right now. I have to attend a very important meeting." The children smiles dropped only for a second before they skipped off to their next victim.

In truth there was no important meeting I had to attend, but I had to go inside now. Sister Edna and Brother Tristan would take care of the next show. I was so young and considered pure as a royal, so I must be inside the castles walls before the Lunar Siorèe takes its last breath.

"M'Lady please allow me to escort you to your chambers." A maid I know as Jane bowed.

"Of course." I tilted my head a little to acknowledge my thanks.

We continued down the halls in silence, the only noise I could hear from inside the palace walls were the loud cheers of the village folk. I smiled knowing they were happy.

Once I was in inside my room the maid known as Jain made her leave. She shut the door softly, leaving me in peace once more. Each night I is the same, it's the same in every way. Peaceful and siren. A cool breeze passed through when I opened the French doors leading to the balcony and as I breathed in the fresh air of the night sky I looked up and saw the second star to the right shine so bright. It was happening, they were choosing two to be loved and cherished forevermore.

What I hadn't prepared for though was for the star to shine its light upon me...

Hello everyone! :)

I really hope the past few chapters haven't been to boring, I know it might've been a bit tidies having to read them. :p

But what I won't apologise for is hate comments towards the author, who has spent a lot of time writing and constructing each chapter.

I hope you enjoy the book, I know I did. 🥰
