Chapter two : Emiline

Every dawn awaits it's dusk.

My slumber was interrupted by the sun that shines from the East. Waking me from my utopia. It was a peaceful dream. One I hope to have again. I smiled at my maids and dawned my gown and teiara; it's gems shimmering in the morning light.

"My lady, your finally awake." One of them spoke, their voices sweat and delicate. I always like their voices, listening to them speak in the morning.

"Good morning Jane." My voice was laced with a dreamy feel and I knew the maids could hear it too. A soft smile graced my lips and I walked over to the window and looked out at the children playing in the fields and the men working hard.

I pursed my lips in displeasure. I should have woken up long before them, I should have strolled along the courtyard and played in the ponds long before any of them would even have the chance to wake.

"Why was I not woken?"

I felt all of them go silent. No shuffling of the feet or clacking of the heels, no mumbles of thanks or please. No one made a sound as I gazed out the window.

"Her Grace told us to wait until dawn passed your Lady. I apologise." I turned to see the maid, Jane bowing. I pursed my lips, why would sister Edna tell them to do such a thing? Surely she was not blind, she must have known how much I yearn to be outside, with no one to bother me.

"It is not a problem."

It was most definitely a problem and all problems should be solved in due time. I had yet to have breakfast or talk with my lady in waiting of the upcoming events. So talking with Sister Edna would have to wait.

I strolled to the dinning room with a small scowl that had dawned my face the moment I knew of Sister Edna's request. The dinning table was plated with foods of all sorts. Small round dishes and cups of green tea lay on the cream cloth.

I bow a small bow before taking my seat. The chairman, Ruvf pulled the chair out for me,"I thank you."

"Your welcome your Lady, but there is no need to address a mere servant in such a high manor." He bowed and stood over by the servants door. I pursed my lips as I watched him walk away.

"Lady Emiline, what a pleasant surprise, I had thought I'd see you early in the morn', but it appears beauty sleep was endever." I looked up to see my lady in waiting, Raila and Beatrice sitting to my right, opposite me was Sister Edna and Brother Tristan, to our sides was Queen Annalise and King Victor.

"It seems so." I silently took a sip of my green tea and peered over the China cutlery I held in my hands. Sister Edna had made that request and I intent to make it known to her that I was fully aware of such a request.

She merely raised a brow.

"Children, I'm sure your all aware of the upcoming events," The Queens voice was stern and soft all in one, most times she spoke it confused me greatly, but Raila often spoke of how I sound the same so I just nodded.

It would make no difference weather I knew of the events or not. Us Pixies would never be apart of something so important. For if the second star is to shine down upon us then that is the day I shall sing a song so pure and light that even the fireflies of the North will waltz past me in my garden of green and sigh I shall not burn, not me or my garden of flowers, as delicate as a butterflies that sway in the summer breeze.

"It's going to be a Lunar Siorèe. The second star shall shine down on the one descend to marry one of the Princes of the for Elements. Not only that, but so too will the fountain of the Fea bring forth its wisdom and justice. The Lunar Soirée will begin mid afternoon. Children, I want you to make sure all preparations are going to be as planned."

"Yes, of course Mother." Brother Tristan answered.

"I bid this meeting adjourned." The Kings voice rang out deep and rough. I watched from the side of my vision as both parties stood and made their exit, followed by brother and sister. I stood to take my leave as did my lady in waiting's.

Once we were in the halls lady Raila spoke up,"Have you heard? His royal highness has meet someone."

The news that Brother Tristan was seeing someone struck me as either a ploy to get Sister Edna off his back or, simply put - gossip,"Who told you such a thing?" A small smile graced my lips. If this were true then that meant he'd wanted to be kept a secret and that meant that he'd not meant for Mother or Father to know of this. It would most definitely make my day.

"Oh, well, his maids see him leave in the middle of the night, he stays up late writing letters, I don't know what of, but one could only speculate it's for his lover. What's more intriguing, the Queen and King don't know. So be careful, these walls have ears and if we speak to loudly they'll catch on and report back to the Queen and King."

"Well it's not our place to say he's found a lover." Beatrice's voice piped in.

"I couldn't agree more." Our pace had slowed quite considerably I noticed.

"Would you like a stroll along the palaces garden M'Lady?" Beatrice asked.

"Yes, I do think the fresh air will do some good for me." Not only that but I hoped I'd see my dear Sister Edna and speak to the creatures of the forest.

Hello my lovelies! 🥰🥰🥰

I just wanted to let you all know that the length of chapters may verify. Thought this is a going to be a short read. A light novel :)

Tell what you think of the story so far, it's quite boring isn't it?

Not to fear! For I, the author is here! And I'm going to make the next chapters, hopefully more interesting.
