Chapter Six : Oracle

"It's going to be alright Oracle." Raila assures me, but how can it be alright I say, when will I see the face of white I'm to love and cherish...

"How can you be so certain Raila?"

"This will do good. How could it not? Our lands will join as one, we'll have an alliance with the Fire Kingdom of the Mystics." She was in fact right... If we were to wed our lands would be allies. I will be like a bird, migrating towards the North. The question is however, when will I go back? Will I go back? Probably not.

"I'm glad I'll have a friend accompanying me along my travels." Railas hand had been resting on my shoulder so I placed mine on hers. A sign of friendship I now know to be sacred. I now cherish moments like these, for I fear they won't be come free for a long time to come.

"Well I'm glad to be accompanying you M'Lady."

I smiled and chuckled, whenever she called me that I would frown and ignore her until she called me by my birth name,"That is my name is it?" I raised a brow with a sly smile.

She had a big smile on now,"That it is M'Lady... That it is."

I watched as she glided across room and for a moment I was still. Only for a moment. I stood abruptly and twirled around facing her back. Her gaze was directed towards the bookshelf and her fingers skimmed across the spines.

"Raila?" I walked after her until I was but I foot away from her.

"M'Lady." Gilford voice rang outside my door. I watched as Raila form stiffened. We'd have to finish this some other time.

"Yes Gilford?" I asked politely. He was most likely here to escort me outside to the carriage that is to send me away.

"I have been asked to escort you to the carriage." I nodded politely and followed him as did Raila.

The day was bright and glorious. The villagers were outside awaiting my leave. The children smiled as did most of the adults, although there were a few confused faces in the crowed. Not that I could really blame them; I was to young by law but if the Moon saw me fit then my kingdom would take that as a compliment. It showed maturity.

When the door closed I let out a long needed breath I hadn't known I was holding. That was when I felt Raila hand on top of mine - a silent reassuring action.

"Mother what will happen when we are there?" I knew what would happen, but my nerves were getting the best of me.

"When we arrive we will be greeted by the butler who will escort us to the throne room. There we will meet the royal family of the Fire Mystics. Afterwards we will be escorted to our chambers and be able to explore, once the clock strikes six we make our way to the dinning room. After dinner most of the family will retire, including you."

I nodded slowly. I knew I wouldn't be sleeping with the prince. Not yet anyway.

I looks outside, the carriage was passing many trees, it would be to long before we made it out of the Flowering Kingdom and I to unclaimed territory. This is how the world worked. There are kingdoms dotted around the map, each has been there since the start of time or so I'm told. Between each major kingdom we have small villages and camp sites, in between everything else is unclaimed land - for the wild animals that don't want to be tamed. Around the cost we have the lagoon, where the salt water mermaids live. There are fresh water mermaids and even sirens.

Time passed and before I knew it my mind had wondered into a dream like state...
