Anne’s grip on my arms begins to loosen as she pushes me into a room. The room has the same sleek mirrors and same clothes racks as the one that I first woke up in. Anne pushes me on to the wooden floor. Just when I begin to stand up, Anne exits the room without a word.
“What’s wrong?” Tatiana asks while giving me a hand up.
Once I stand on my own two feet, I open my mouth to speak. “What’s wrong? All of this is!”
“Okay okay! Calm down.” She orders in her sweet voice. “She did it to you too didn’t she?”
“What do you mean?” I question.
“Anne will do anything to turn people against each other. The less friends you have, the less of a threat you are to The Hive, and her.” Tatiana explains.
“The Hive; That’s what they call this inferno? Why do they call it that?” I respond.
“You know how they suck honey away from bees? They do the same with humans except their blood is the honey. The rich, warm, flavorful, delicious-“ She begins while licking her white, sharp teeth. I clear my throat loudly to snap her out of her day dream. “Sorry about that. Well, anyways we have to get you in uniform and get you vaccinated.”
“Great…” I sarcastically mutter under my breath.
I watched her as she walked over to the clothes rack and browsed through the different outfits. They all had the same winkled tag hanging off the collar. Once it seems like Tatiana found the correct clothes, she tears the tag off and hangs it to me. She instantly turns around so that I would change comfortably without eyes in my direction.
I look down at the deep grey uniform. I gently touch down on the fabric and let my fingers glide around it. As I slip on the clothing, I my eyes wonder from wall to wall in search of cameras. Just because I can’t see any camera’s doesn’t mean that they aren’t there.
“Done?” Tatiana asks while turning around.
I gently nod my head. Tatiana pulls my sleek black hair into a long ponytail. Gasping every second she pulled too hard on my hair seemed to annoy her, but I did it instinctively.
“And you’re ready to go, So this gentleman will escort you to the lab where they will give you your vaccination, okay?” Tatiana explains while running a brush through my hair.
“Roger that.” I mutter while turning around to see a guard.
His eyes aren’t focused on me, they are focused on Tatiana. He’s not like most guys that would stare at her curves; instead he stares at her eyes and smile.
“Hey.” He greets while letting his hazel eyes lock with hers.
“Hey…” Tatiana breathlessly replies while putting on her best smile.
I clear my throat to remind both of them that I’m still in the same room as them.
“Um, you should get going. Matt’s going to get mad if you’re late again.” Tatiana reminds.
“See you later?” He questions.
“Bye Edward.” She whispers.
“Bye Beautiful.” He whispers back.
Before Edward and I leave the room, I catch sight of Tatiana’s smile. We walk through the large and empty halls. Edward barely has a grip on my arm. I bet if I wanted to I could runaway.
“S-So, does Tatiana ever say anything about me?” Edward shyly asks.
“Uh, no I don’t think so.” I commented as an unhappy expression painted his face. “But you know, I’ve only known her for about a day, right?”
