Read at your own riskAiko couldn't help but feel overwhelmed when she rose up from her bed to be met with the emptiness of her house. She had to live here on her own with no one to care for her since Yui left to go to College, so here she was.
A few months after the car accident that left her abandoned on the street bleeding out from her head, legs, mouth, nose, neck, and torso. She couldn't feel a single bone in her body as she lies there on the concrete street as her vision becomes blurrier and blurrier by the second. She tried to call out for help but there were glass shards in her neck so she couldn't really speak or breathe for that matter. It was becoming just like they said; No one would ever care if you lived or died.
She believed it now.
Now that she can look back on that day—that night—she can finally realize that they were correct all this time. Aiko wasn't cared for, either. Nor was Yui, but they did praise Yui for her accomplishments but never did they do the same for sweet Aiko.
She didn't care.
She knew her sister was better than her in every form.
Even if people said Aiko was prettier, she never believed it.
How could she? They never stopped to acknowledge her in the streets when she was alone. Only with Yui. Or maybe they only knew her when she was with someone? How could she ever know?
Aiko blinked her eyes and sighed as she put her feet on the ground and got up from the soft bed. She walked to her closet and pulled out her school uniform and threw it on the bed before walking into her bathroom where she vigorously brushed her teeth and brushed her long, baby pink hair. Once she was done, she began to put her school clothes on and then prepared her breakfast.
She heard the doorbell ring right as she was done and she opens the door and was met with the gaze of two blue eyes staring at her. It was Katsuki.
"Are you ready to leave, Ai?"
She fluttered her eyes for a moment before sliding her shoes on.
"Yeah, let's go."
They went to his car and he drove them to school since Aiko got frequently visited by her fanclub and her bullies that decided to join her in her every day life that they needn't to join. She didn't want to fight as much this year—er—she couldn't really fight until she fully heals. No one should even notice it but Katsuki, but she had bandages wrapped all on her body. The slightest wrong movement could cause all sorts of bleeding to happen and she frankly didn't want that to happen.
"We're here. I'll help you out?"
She shook her head. "Ew no. I'm a very independent strawberry who doesn't need your help."
He laughed at her sarcasm. "Get out the fucking car Ai."
She laughed and carefully stepped out; with caution as she didn't know who would be around. She was trying to avoid Yumi and Eri, the two sisters that constantly torment her and hoped she had died in the car accident. Like, literally, they left her notes that said she should've died. They wanted her to be dead... and for awhile.. Aiko did too.
"Ai, come here." Katsuki said with concern in his voice.
She walked over and saw the two sisters standing in front of the doors to the school waiting for someone. Their lips curved up into a smile as they scanned the vicinity looking for something. Aiko didn't care anymore after seeing what they were doing; she fully understood now that they would find her and just beat her as usual. They're in front of the school entrance for crying out loud. You can't avoid that.
"There's no way you plan on going up to them! That's a death-trap and you know it!"
"I understand that. I fully understand that, but there's no where else for me to get to my classes, Katsuki. I've already missed so much work that I had to do in the hospital. Who knows how much I have to make up that they wouldn't let me do. I have to go through them. What's the worst that could happen?"
She knew what would happen.. that was the entire purpose. To get it over with now rather than wait til later. To get the pain over with. She wanted this to happen, so she could just get it over with. They won't kill her. They're too scared to, so she has nothing to fear for.
As she approached the entrance to the school, Yumi purses her lips into a smile and nudged Eri.
"Oh, look who finally decided to stop skipping school. Or did your sister finally decide that she no longer wanted you so you took a break?"
Heh, as usual, Eri brings up Yui.
"No," Aiko mumbled. "Something happened."
Katsuki looked at them with pure panic smeared all over his face as he switched his eyes from Yumi and Eri to Aiko.
"What happened, Bitch?"
"It's not like you care..." Aiko responded just wishing to get through already.
"I asked a fucking question." Eri grumbled, grabbing Aiko by the collar and attempting to lift her but failing.
Aiko grabbed Eri's arm, squeezed her hand until she knew she broke it, then put Eri to the wall with her arm behind her back. She held her neck firmly and pulled her arm to cause pain.
"Don't touch me."
Yumi watched in silence for a moment before she tried to hit Aiko, but Aiko simply tripped her.
"You BITCH."
She pulled Eri's arm further to shut her up.
"Don't you ever fucking learn? Or are you that Retarded? I've been ducking nice to you this entire time, Eri! I'm sick of it! I'm sick of letting it happen! You're so fucking ignorant that you don't even fucking notice what's wrong with me!"
Everyone around them went silent and just watched.
"Yui left that friggin house because of our stupid mother not being there for us! She left me there because I was broken! Don't you ever understand that I have emotions like your pathetic and worthless self! Leave me alone!"
She let go of Eri and ran into her class immediately.
All she could think about was how empty she felt.
