Chapter 16

*3 weeks past*

Everyone is more into the family than before because Natasha would've wanted them to.

"Hey, dad. Can you tell me how you and mom met?" Adrian said and I sat next to him.

"I wanna hear too." Naya said.

"I'm out for a run." Ethan said.

"Ok." I said and he leaves.

"Love story." Adrian said.

"Ok so when I met your mom, it was because we were gonna stop Uncle Loki. When they assembled the Avengers, mom was assigned to be with me. She showed me around and taught me moves." I started.

"Then you two dated?" He said.

"Um, uh, no. Mom had a boyfriend at the time. But, I didn't stop liking her until I got her to go out with me. Then, I started loving her. We broke up once, dated other people, then got back together." I said.

"Ohhh." Naya said.

"We became more and more serious, and had Ethan. We broke up for then got back together. A little more years and I asked mom to marry me. Now we have you and your sister." I said.

"Sounds super short but
is super long." He said and I nodded.

*phone rings*

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey, baby." She says and I smile.

"You kids wanna talk to mom?" I asked.

"Yes!" They said and put it on speaker mode.

"How are you kids?" Nat asks.

"Good, we miss you." Naya said.

"I do too. Just 2 more weeks and I'm back again." She said.

15 mins later and the kids needed to get ready for training and Ethan came home just in time to get ready.

"Mom's on the phone." Adrian said.

"Mom, guess who has a date tonight?" Ethan said.

"That's good. You haven't gotten out in a long time." Nat said.

"How'd it happen?" I asked.

"Well, we've been friends bcuz she had a boyfriend but it's been 2 years since she's had one. I asked her out and she said yes." Ethan said.

"Go to training first." I said and he runs up the stairs.

"So how are you?" She asked and I go outside.

"Tired. Sad that you're not with us. I told them our love story." I said.

"I'm surprised they would want to know." She said.

"They've been asking a lot of things about you, Nat." I said.

"I really miss you guys, I can't stand being away from you guys." She said.

"True that." I said and she laughs.

"Ok, well. I got to go and try to make this mission go faster." She said.

"Bye, I love you." I said.

"I love you more." She said and hung up.

"Kids, let's go! Before uncle Tony lectures us about being late again." I said and they rush down the stairs.

"I hope mom comes back sooner than soon." Adrian said.

"Me too, buddy." I said.

"Can I go on the next mission?" Ethan asked.

"I know it looks like I call the shots, but it's up to your mom." I said.

"But dad, she's gonna train me till I can't feel my legs." He said.

"She's your mom." I said.

"She's your wife." He retorted.

"She went through pain for you and your siblings to be born." I said.

"That's not fair." He said as we were walking towards the car.

"It is too." I said.

"Can you two stop arguing? I'm on a call." Anaya said.

"It's Peter." Adrian teased.

"Leave your sister alone. Both of you." I said.

We got to the training room and watched the kids trained. Charlie and Adrian got better, Emily, Naya, and Peyton were in the small place-ish. Ethan trained with Jacob, Nate, Lila, and Isaiah.

"Sir, you have a last minute mission Fury just assigned to you." My assistant Sam said.

"What is it?" I asked while we exit the training room.

"Daniel's been spotted at Rosa Parjin." He said.

"I'm on it." I said.

I got Bucky, Sam, Tony, and Clint to be my back up if something went wrong.

"Dad, y-you left the training room with your 'something's wrong' face. What is it?" Ethan asked.

"I'm going on a mission and I need you to watch over your brother and sister. Don't tell them because now they'll have to worry about 2 parents who are gone. I won't be long, just don't forget Machete." I said and he nods.

I go to Rosa Parjin and got face to face with Daniel, eventually.

"Steve Rogers, my brother-in-law. God do I really really super duper hate you for marrying my sister." Daniel said.

"You really don't have a say in it since you missed it." I said.

"I'll give you that, ok. I need my sister back." He said.

"She's married, kids, she can't just leave them." I said.

"Oh yes she can." Daniel said with a  laugh.
