It's Their Story Part 2

Chapter 12

Steve's POV

I woke up to see Nat gone from her side. I got up, put on some clothes and started looking for her.

She was like gone, her black leather jacket was gone, her leg strap that holds her gun is gone. I'm weirded out she didn't leave a message.

"Hey." I answered my phone.

"Have you seen Nat?" Clint asked.

"No, I thought she went for you." I said.

"She came to me, idiots." Tony said who hacked our call.

"What did she want with you?" Clint asked.

"Don't know, she took Peter and Ethan but didn't say where she was going." Tony said.

"Ok, thanks." I said and hung up.

"Jerome, pull up security cameras from this morning." I said to our robotic home assistant.

"Yes, sir." He said.

I looked at all, Natasha was fighting someone.

"Turn up the volume." I said and he did.

"You need to die." The person said as they fought.

They kicked the drawers abd the vase almost fell, Natasha caught it with her foot and shushed the person.

"Goddamnit, do they ever teach you guys to stealth fight?" Natasha whispered.

"Sorry. Is your husband asleep?" She said.

"Yes, so keep this between us." Natasha said and she pinned Nat to the wall.

"Number 4. Lucky. Daniel is gonna love her." She said and Natasha face dropped.

"Wait, her?" Natasha asked.

"Oh sorry, I can tell genders." She said.

"Pietro." Nat said and he came and knocked her out.

"Sorry." He said.

"Get Ethan." She said and he left.

It showed her changing into her Black Widow suit.

"I'll be back." She said and kissed my forehead then left.

"That's all, sir." Jerome said.

"Thank you." I said and called Wanda.

"If your asking for Aya, she's asleep." Wanda answered.

"No, where's Pietro?" I asked.

"Um, I don't know." She said.

"Exactly." I said and rushed to SHIELD.

"Steve, care to explain our phone call earlier?" Wanda said.

"Nat, Pietro, Ethan, and Peter are gone. I don't know why." I said trying to track Ethan when we 'went to the dentist' when he was 10.

"You two put a tracker on him?" Wanda said.

"At least we'd know where he would be." I said.

"That's actually really smart." She said.

"Ethan Rogers found." Tony's robot assistant said.

"Where are they?" Tony said making Wanda jump while I knew he was there the whole time.

"Ah! Don't do that!" Wanda scolded.

"It's looks like a family. We don't know for sure but all we know is that they saved those hotages." A news reporter stated.

"Hey, that's them." Tony said.

"They're acting as a super hero family. Wore the masks to cover it, they can see their eyes but they can see them." Bucky said.

"How do you know that?" Wanda said.

"I helped them get away." He said.

"I need answers now." I said.

"Captain to your office." Our assistant said.

I checked the time, 2:54 pm. They've been gone for that long, wow. I enter the office and see Nat leaning against the desk as Ethan sat and was on his phone.

"Look, dad's here." Ethan said.

"Question, where were you guys?" I asked.

"Mom took me on a mission. Told me I couldn't tell you but we made it on tv so I think you know by now." He said.

"Yeah." I said.

"Well, I better get going. Awesome mission, dad I gotta tell you what I did later." He said and heading for the door.

"Tut-tut. Hand it." Nat finally said something.

Ethan groaned and gave her $20 then leaves. I furrowed my brow at her telling her to tell me.

"We had a bet that he can keep it in or spill, he spilled." Nat said avoiding eye contact with me.

"Why didn't you leave a note?" I asked.

"And keep you worried. Everytime I'm out on the field, you sit back and panic. All you do is join me when you can't, even when you were sick and interfered in on my mission." She said.

"If you left a note, I wouldn't be asking so many questions." I said.

"Do you really think that's gonna stop you from going on the mission?" She said.

"No." I said being defeated in the argument.

"Excuse me." Our robot assistant said.

"Not a good time." I said.

"Exactly." She stated ignoring the robot's interruption.

"But at least I would know you were safe." I said.

Natasha's POV
He will keep asking questions until he wins, only fairly. Sometimes I just give up on the argument and let him win, but guess what, it only makes him even more mad.

"Yes. The whole thing that matters is that we are all safe. I needed you safe for a time. Can't you just let me have this?" I said.

"Yes, of course I will. It hurts that you left me. You just left." He said over and over again.

"Excuse me." Our robot said.

"Not now." We said.

Our voices started to rise and my heart started to ache from this. I kept explaining that it was just a small mission with a small crew and we were  assigned by Nick.

"And if you two didn't make it and I just sat and waited?" He said.

"You wouldn't be sitting and waiting because that's not the man I married would act like!" I said.

"Excuse me." She said again.

"Not now." We said.

"Then why wasn't I included in the mission?!" He said.

"Because if I didn't make it, the kids would still have a parent to have!" I confessed and he was quiet.

It was so quiet I heard a tear drop.

*door slams*

"I thought the doors were closed." I said.

"Aidan Rogers had watched the whole fight and stormed off." She said.

"Why didn't you say that ealier?" He said.

"I've been trying, sir." She said and I walk out to catch up with  Aidan.

When I found him, Ethan teleported out.
