“Louis!” I screamed. “Louis, come back!” I watched as he tried to fight the force that was pulling him but right before I could no longer see him he said, “I’ll be back, don’t forget me!”
I sank to the floor and whispered, “Never.” Then the sobs broke out and I sat there on the gravel wishing he would come back. I felt alone. Completely and utterly alone.
