The High School Dropout - Zach Herron

Chapter 15

Alexia's pov

"Mom?!" My mom was laying on Daniel's bed. I tried to wake her up but nothing was working.

"Stay here." i told Daniel.

I ran downstairs to Zach.

"SERIOUSLY?!" I yelled and the music stopped, everybody was looking at me.

"FIRST YOU EMBARRASS ME IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE SCHOOL AND YOU TRY TO BEAT UP DANIEL, BUT NOW YOU INVOLVE MY MOM TOO. YOU KNOW WHAT, I DON'T CARE THAT I DON'T LIVE IN THIS HOUSE I'M GONNA KICK YOU OUT." I yelled. Daniel heard me and came downstairs.

"I actually agree with her. You can't live here when you drugged someone's mom." Jonah stood behind me and Daniel. Corbyn, Jack and Sara agreed.

"You can't kick me out!" Zach said.

"Oh watch me." After i said that everybody was quiet and slowly left the house. I ran to Zach's room and grabbed some random stuff and put it in a bag. Zach chased me. I dumped the bag in his hands. The boys and Sara came in the room and held Zach.

"If you ever touch my mom again, you'll be the one regretting things." Jack, Corbyn, Jonah and Sara dragged Zach outside. Me and Daniel went to my mom. When we walked in the room my mom opened her eyes.

"Alexia?" She said.

"I'll get some water." Daniel said and walked to the kitchen.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Zach called me. He said you weren't doing okay. I immediately came here. I saw Zach throw a party, i tried to stop it. Zach gave me a glass of water and told me to relax. The next thing i know is that i opened my eyes a minute ago." She explained. I cried and hugged her.

"We kicked Zach out of the house." Daniel walked in with some water. He gave it to my mom and she drunk it.

"I'm glad Alexia is with you now. You really care about her." My mom smiled. Daniel and i looked each other in the eyes and he gave a kiss on my cheek.

The next morning Daniel and i both got ready for school. It's weird to see him going to school. Tomorrow is Sara's 18th birthday, so Daniel had something to plan while he is waiting outside the classroom.

After we got ready Daniel and i went to my school. I changed my locker with Kay's locker. Now i don't have to be near Zach and Kay can be close to Zach. While i was walking to my locker i saw Zach. His hair was messy and his clothes were dirty. Daniel caught me staring at Zach.

"he'll be okay." He kissed my forehead softly.

Fot first period i had math, with Zach. I tried to focus on the subject but i couldn't. Then i tried to focus on Daniel, but that didn't help either. I looked behind me, Zach was trying to fix his hair. When he saw i was looking at him he rolled his eyes. I tried to ignore him but i  couldn't stop thinking about Zach.

At lunch break me and Daniel were sitting at a table. A girl came to us.

"Is it true? Did you kicked out Zach of his own house?" The girl asked.

"Yes, do you wanna know why?" I said. The girl nodded.

"He drugged my mom. Mind your own business or he might do the same to you." After i said that the girl ran away.

"Seriously Alexia? She's an innocent girl." Daniel said.

"sorry." I said, but i didn't meant it.

"it's okay. Just ignore those people." He said and finished his lunch. I tried to eat but every time i tried to eat something i felt like i needed to throw up.

After school Daniel and i went back home. Zach finished school one period earlier then me. He was sitting on the couch.

"Hi guys." He smiled.

"Zach? What are you doing here?" Daniel asked.

"I live here remember." Zach rolled his eyes.

"I remember that we kicked you out." I said.

Zach rolled his eyes. "You didn't say for how long."

"Well, i can kick you out again. And this time for at least a month." I said.

"I'm not going away." He said.

I grabbed his back and walked to the door. I threw it outside and Zach followed the bag. When Zach was outside i quickly shut the door and locked it. Totally forgetting he probably still has the key. A few minutes later the door on the back of the house opened.

"You won't get rid of me that fast." Zach said.

"Zach, don't make me call your mom." When i said that Zach's face changed, he got scared. His mom didn't know the things he did. Zach sometimes begged me to don't tell his mom. I knew telling him i will call his mom would scare him away.

"You said a month right?" Zach said.

"Yes, you can grab more things you need and then leave." I said. Zach went to his room to grab some other things he needs.

A few minutes later he came back from his room. "If you want to find me, i'm at Kay's house." He walked to the door and left.

"Did you just threatened him with calling his mom." Daniel laughed.

"Yes i did." I laughed.

"I need to remember that, i can maybe use that too." Daniel chuckled and walked to his room.

A few minutes later someone knocked on the door. It was my mom.

"Hi Alexia." She was holding a suitcase.

"What's wrong?" I walked inside and my mom followed me.

"Your dad." She said.

"What happened?!" I got scared.

"I was at work and when i came back the apartment was trashed. Your dad was trashing my room when he noticed i got home. He ran outside very fast. I can't stay there my bed is broken, your bed and the couch too. There's also glass everywhere. Can i stay here?" She explained.

"Yes of course, you can stay in Zach's room. He's not living here for at least a month. Don't ask." I grabbed the suitcase and brought it to Zach's room.
