When Luke arrived at the motel, he found Michael asleep on the bed. Curled up within the blankets, soft snores escaping past his lips.
Luke felt guilty.
He couldn't understand why he didn't stop Ashton. It was wrong, so wrong.
Why did I let him do that? And Michael, sweet Michael...
Luke sulked over to the bed, kneeled down beside Michael, and ran his fingers through his hair. He was so beautiful.
"Mmm... Lukey.." Michael murmured, his lips forming into a pout.
"Shh, love. It's just me," Luke cooed, kissing the boy's cheek, "Go back to sleep. I'll join you soon."
Michael sighed, buried his face deep within the pillows, and drifted back to sleep. The younger boy watched, a soft smile played on his lips.
Luke made his way to the bathroom and stripped himself bare. Turning on the tap, his eyes began to well with tears.
He had never felt so guilty.
Yet, in the heat of the moment, he wanted it.
Luke found himself sat in the tub, the water spraying down from the shower head. And in that moment, he cried. He cried for his poor actions, for his guilt, and for Michael. His sweet Michael.
When Luke joined Michael in bed, the older was more than ready for a cuddle. He instantly wrapped himself around Luke, nuzzling into his neck.
"I love you," Michael whispered.
And for the second time that night, Luke cried.
× × × × × × × × × × × × × × × × × × × ×
Casinos in Vegas were phenomenal.
Luke had suggested that the pair go out as it was the only way to distract his thoughts. Throughout the previous night and most of the day, Luke had Ashton on his mind. His thoughts impure. And he could not suppress the feeling of guilt. It clenched his heart, pulling, and suffocating.
"I hope you plan on playing fair," Michael stated, stopping to give Luke the look.
Michael meant business.
Luke had trained on counting cards a year back and he was good.
"Of course not, love. What's the fun in doing what you're told?"
Michael rolled his eyes, grabbed the blond by his hand and dragged him to a Poker table.
"I'm going to play slots, have fun," Michael sighed, turning on his heel and sauntering off.
Luke studied the occupants at the cards table as he took an open seat. Watching closely for hand signals or odd behavior. But each man sat there looked the same. All glancing at their cards, nervous smiles pressed to their lips.
Luke knew he had the upper hand.
And when he left a thousand dollars richer, he proved to be right. He found Michael at the slots, pulling the bar and watching the wheel spin.
"Hello, love," Luke greeted, wrapping his arms around the older boy's neck and pressing a kiss to his flushed cheeks.
"How'd you do?" The boy questioned as coins fell from the machine.
"A thousand. Not much, really, but I can take you shopping with this. They have so many designers here."
Michael wasn't interested in fashion or shopping, but Luke loved to spoil him.
Michael nodded, pulled the lever down and watched it spin.
7 .... 7 .... 7
Michael screamed, throwing his hands up in the air and turning to Luke as the lights on top of the machine flashed.
Jackpot.
Luke picked Michael up, spinning him around an kissed his lips.
"I hit the Jackpot, Luke! Were rich! Were fucking rich!"
A man dressed in a suit, his name tag reading 'manager' soon came out to greet the boys. Congratulating them, he led them off into his office to collect their winnings.
As the pair walked off, hand in hand, underneath the Vegas lights, they never felt so alive.

Double Update today to make up for what happened between Luke and Ashton, but trust me, this is not the last you will see of Ashton. Not even close.
So, the pair just hit the jackpot, what do you think they'll do?
