As it turns out, Vegas is simply beautiful in the day. Although the lights are not on, the hot sun beats down, lighting the city below just as well.

Michael's hands are shaking. Luke feels the way they tremble as he holds one tight within his own, their fingers clasped together.

The shops line the strip in even rows, all colorful and perfect. Like they were meant to be here, right in that very spot. And Luke decides that they are, because someone designed this place.

It turns out, Michael isn't very interested in Gucci or Prada. He crinkles his nose and shakes his head in disapproval at each of the selections. Luke figured it would happen this way. But just down the block is a shopping mall with its very own roller coaster and Michael's whole face lights up. He grabs Luke tightly by the hand and drags him along, the blond struggling to keep up.

The shopping mall is huge.

Stores line every inch of the building, neon signs displaying the stores titles. Clothes and shoes and accessories line the shops, all begging to be bought.

Michael scans the shops as he passes by, finally deciding which to browse through.

Inside, Michael approaches a shelf, covered in black skinny jeans, his face lights up as he turns to Luke for approval.

"Go ahead, baby. Pick as many pairs as you want."

And Michael squeals. Rummaging through the selections. He chooses five pairs. Two regular and three with frayed tears in the knees.

In the next shop, Michael finds light weight flannels in an array of colors. He chooses the ones he likes.

Red. Black. Blue. Grey.

And Luke pays without question.

Michael spends an hour in a hat shop, choosing three beanies and a simple black and grey snapback.

In the shoe store, Michael finds black boots, two pairs of Vans, and two plain pairs of Toms.

Michael could not contain his excitement.

Always giggling and squealing and kissing Luke's face in thanks. But, Luke just smiles, buying himself a few things along the way.

And then Michael sees it.

Up ahead sits a hair salon and Luke knows what's coming next. After all, Michael's once green locks have faded to almost platinum again.

Later, when the pair leave the salon, Michael's hair is a fiery red.

And Luke loves it.

Michael only requests that they stop at a Tattoo and Piercing shop on their journey back to the motel. He selects a new set of tapers and tunnels for his stretched ears.

Eyeing them giddily.

This is extremely short.

But it had to be published.

Um, so... the next chapter is the last chapter.

So, bid farewell to Michael and Luke. They'll be off on another adventure.

We broke 400+ reads, so that's amazing. Thanks for sticking with me.
