*this one's pretty awful, like there's no real plot and most of it felt like filler when i wrote it so i'm sorry
"Are you sure that you're going to be alright?" Mr. Stark asked again.
"Yes, I'll be fine!" Peter groaned.
"And you'll call-"
"And I'll call if I need anything or if anything happens," Peter repeated what he'd already said a hundred times. Mr. Stark was way too worried about what would happen to Peter while he was away with the others on a mission. He was watching Mr. Stark get ready for the mission. Packing some stuff and constantly checking his phone. Stark and the other Avengers were leaving for a mission overnight. Somehow, Peter was the only one who was staying behind. He had school in a day and Mr. Stark hadn't let him on a mission since he'd been stabbed a few weeks prior. So there he was, stuck at the compound while everyone else went off to fulfill their superhero duties.
It took only a few more minutes for Mr. Stark to finish packing. Peter followed the man out to the Quinjet. He waved as the jet took off. As soon as it was out of sight, he turned quickly and rushed back to his room. He was a just a little excited that he'd have the compound to himself. It took him only minutes to set up the television and settle into a Netflix binge. It took nearly an hour before he fell asleep. He didn't mean to, of course, but somehow, it happened all the same.
When he woke up, his face was glued to the couch and someone was saying his name. He felt the weight of someone sitting down on the couch, but he didn't open his eyes yet. A hand came down on his shoulder and shook him a little bit. "Peter, honey, wake up." The voice whispered. Peter groaned, opening his eyes. He rolled over, unsticking his face in the process. He looked up at the person who'd woken him up from his nap. His boyfriend. Wade Wilson. Peter sighed and sat up. "What're you doing here?" He mumbled, still half asleep.
"I just came to see my boyfriend!" He said.
"It's a good thing that the others aren't here." Peter sighed.
"I still don't understand why you won't tell them we're dating."
"They don't know that I'm bi," Peter said. It was true, he hadn't told them. He didn't really know why. That was a lie. He knew exactly why. Biphobia. There was so much risk associated with telling them. He had no idea how they'd react and he didn't want to lose his second family. That was really what the Avengers had become: his second family. And he didn't want to risk losing them. Even if that meant leaving a big part of his life a secret. He wasn't ready yet.
"I don't like that we have to keep this a secret," Wade said, quieter this time.
"I know." Peter sighed, "I'll tell them soon, I promise." But he didn't know when "soon" was. He got up from the couch, much more awake now. "Do you want anything to eat?" Peter asked his boyfriend. "Whatcha got?" Wade asked. He knew that Peter was trying to change the subject but he let him do it anyhow.
"I actually have no idea," Peter responded. "I just got here this morning."
"Well let's see what the Avengers eat."
They began to rummage through the kitchen, not looking for anything specific.
"Ooh! Here's a cake mix!" Wade called, sticking his head of the pantry.
"Do you really want cake right now?" Peter questioned, groaning a little.
"I mean, do you have any better ideas?" Wade asked.
"No..." Peter checked the clock. It was only three in the afternoon. But he didn't want to make a cake. Or anything really. What he really wanted was to cuddle with his boyfriend on the couch. But he knew if Wade didn't get what he wanted when it came to food, he wouldn't get anything in the line of affection.
