Found this AU while on tumbler and I really liked it. I got an idea for a oneshot, so enjoy.

The forest around Snowdin were dark. you were thankful for the lantern you had gotten that could lead you through this dark time. You were also glad for the company you had with you. Papyrus lantern didn't burn as bright as yours. He seemed thankful to be walking next to you too, in the bright glow your soul gave from the lantern. He wouldn't admit it, but you knew he was terrified of the dark.

Sans had vanished without a warning again, which got Papyrus to worried about his brothers well being. So here the two of you were. walking in what seemed like endless darkness with only a lantern to guide you. You loved the atmosphere the darkness gave and you loved that there actual existed monsters down here. you were really into horror up on the surface so you found the atmosphere exciting. unlike your friend next to you. you could hear his bones weakly rattling from what you assumed were not cold.

"HE WASN'T AT GRILLBY SO HES PROBABLY AT HIS POST SLEEPING OR DOING NOTHING." you eyes scanned the woods around the two of you. "Probably, but do you know where we at?" the biggest problem of this dark forest was that everything looked the same. you felt Papyrus present disappear so you turned to see what the hold up was. Papyrus were frozen at the spot, a look of terror on his face. "I... I DON'T KNOW." you looked at him and raise your eyebrow at him. Even if this forest were as black as night he still knew the forest like the back of his hand. what had gotten him to get off course.

Papyrus felt a blush creep up on himself. he thought you may be wondering how he managed to get them lost. He wouldn't dare to admit he was to distracted by you that he had no idea where they was. you were just so cool and brave! not scared by the black emptiness surrounding them like himself. "well... WE HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO GET OUT OF HERE. not that I don't like your company," the first and last sentences came out like a whisper. Papyrus was nervous and the scary darkness were not the only reason. "we could follow our own track until we get back to a place we realize," you pointed to the footprints in the snow. "GENIUS IDEA HUMAN Y/N!" Papyrus happily smiled at you as you lead the way back. not only were you beautiful and brave, you were also smart! he had to get to try out more of his puzzles sometime. wait... did he just call you beautiful. looking down at you he felt another blush creep on his face when he realized that statement was true, you were beautiful.

"Come on, we still haven't found Sans. Try to keep track on where we are going this time, okay," you gave him a playfully smirk as you continued down the path to you desired destination. Papyrus kept starting small conversations with you on the way, and you realized many of the questions were relationship themed. you could feel a blush creeping up on you on the realization. did... did Papyrus like you? or were this just hopefully thinking. you had grown to like this guys while you stayed down her. he was your light in this darkness. you were a 100% for anything creepy, but the cinnamon roll stole your hart.

An idea made it way up in your mind. This may break you friendship, but you were willing to risk it. you stopped in you tracks. "Papyrus can I tell you something?" He looked at you curiously. "WHAT IS IT HUMAN?" your simile widen "you have to come down here. it's a secret." Papyrus came down to your level without hesitation. "WHAT DO YOU WAN TO TELL-" He couldn't finish his sentence before your lips softly met his. they just lightly brushed against his teeth before you broke it. an for a brief moment you believe you saw a small spark in his eyes.
