I just got this idea while listening to music and I had to write it down.
the song that inspired this oneshot:

You had lived in the underground for nearly a year now, and had already gotten pretty attached to a certain skeleton with the name Papyrus. He was just so charming. His laid back nature, his flirty side, his puns, his laziness, the pain hidden in his eyes... not to mention he was flipping handsome. you had become pretty closed to him after convincing his brother to not capture you and take your soul to the queen.

Hanging out on patrols, going to Muffet, watching TV or just being in the same room made you go crazy. He was everything you could ever ask for. you had even begun to have a permanent blush whenever you were around him. you would have confessed to him months ago. However, there were only one thing holding you back. he liked girls.

He flirted with them every time he got a chance. you thought he looked at you differently than everyone in the underground. That his smile would widen a little more every time he laid eyes on you. That he would be aching as much as you to be together again... Guess your imagination have gotten a pretty good hold of you. seeing him happily flirting away with Chara broke your heart every time. You could see Chara giving him the exact same eyes that you gave him. your head have already began to show you the horrible pictures of Papyrus and Chara going out on dates, getting engaged, married, moving in together, getting a dog named Chocolate and a dozen of kids! Your heart broke for every picture your head showed you.

You thought back on what happened to make you so depressed at the moment. you had gotten on an frustrating ramble on how Chara were not good for him, and accidentally confessed you're feeling at the same time. just going on a million reason why you would be a better fit for him. looks like you were just being selfish by thinking that he would love you. Of course he would be angry at you, and of course he wouldn't be into guys. He had even began to laugh at your stupidly confessing right in front of you. He even began to make jokes and laugh about it to others. Guess it was bad timing to have that outburst in Muffets. Same reaction from every guy you had loved, there had to be something wrong with you.

You thought you may need some fresh air and get something to eat. you took your favorite hoodie that just engulfed you and covers your face before you ventured outside. the other monster down here would point and laugh at you after the confession accident, so it was best to stay hidden. you had no ideas were you were headed or were you were going, but it came to a surprise when you walked right into someone. looking up made you regret going out at all. in front of you stood the man you had tried to avoid. Papyrus.

You tried to get away and just run back to the comfort of your house. however, you could barely turn around before to skeletal hands took a grip on you and the surrounding changed. you feel something soft hit your back and the springs, in what you assumed to be a mattress, made you bounce a little. looking up made you face barely inches away from your abductor. if your face was heated before made the realization in your position max your flustered face to the extreme. his eyes were intense and showed no emotions as he stared at you. you were gonna die, yep, he had gotten you here to kill you. you squeezed your eye close and waited for your final moment.

"Where have you been?" his voice were stern as he asked you. Eyes shoot open, not knowing what do do at this outcome. "You weren't her when I got home from Muffet that night." his face showed no emotion as he studied your reaction while waiting for an answer. "I-I left" you answered honestly while curing yourself for stuttering, both form terror and how close he was. You had not gone back to the skeleton house after the incident, intend headed to NTT resort l so you could just get away. "why?" he sounded genuine confused. you looked him dead in the eyes, feeling tears in the corners of yours "Like you wouldn't know."

He seemed regretfully. papyrus took a deep breath inn before speaking "I had no other choice..." you feel anger boiling inside you at his words. "What do you men you didn't have any other choice? you could just rejected me quietly instead of making me the laughingstock of the whole town! you could-" your loud rant were caught shot by something being pressed roughly against your lips. coming to your senses made you confused and flustered. Papyrus were freaking kissing you! so he did... like you?

He parted the kiss after a while with no respond from you, looking at you with so much love and regret. "Because I was scared you would become a target. This is the underground. if I didn't reject you they would use you to get to me, or me to get to you. I will admit i overdid it, but I did it because you mean so much to me. your one of the only god things down here. I wouldn't take any chances of you getting killed. so... do you forgive me?" he showed so many emotions at the same time. He has always had this thought and gruff person when you was with him. he looked more calm when the two of you relaxed at home or at Muffet, but newer this emotional

"I-I'll leave" Papyrus was on his way to leave you after taking the silent that he wouldn't get taken back. of course someone like you would do that after what he did. he had ruined his chance. At least he could say he tried, and that he even got a kiss out of it. However, papyrus was stopped before he could teleport to Muffet and drink this mistake away. a tight grip on his jacket and pulled him down to met a pair of familiar lips. you were crying, and you didn't care. you would not let him get away this time. no one was around to ruined this moment.
