Dipper
I tried to escape Bill, but his grip around my hair only tightened. Soon enough I heard him open a door, and I was thrown into the dark room. As I began to push myself up I heard the door close behind me. Soon the room was illuminate with light as Bill lit a lantern. I quickly took the chance to glance at my surroundings. There was a desk in the center of the room, a hammock near the side, and the wall were line with maps and body parts of mystical creature. I gulped. We were in the the captain cabin.
I felt Bill's grip return on my hair as he pulled me up.
"Sit." He said as he flung me in a chair. As soon as composed myself I tried to jump off the chair but he pushed me back down. "Tis tis Pinetree. When you're captain tells you to do something you need to obey."
"You're not my captain!!" I spat back, trying to get back up. He barked a laugh before shoving back down. This time though, he grabbed my wrists and twist them behind the chair. I heard him snap his fingers and in seconds I felt chains around my wrists, holding me in place.
"There we go!" Bill said happily. "That should keep you still." I continued to struggle against the chains, even though it was no use. Bill rolled his eye and walked behind me. I heard metal clanking together as he look for something. Bill kept muttering things like "God it's been so long since I've done this." "Where did I leave it." "AHA!" He said as he finally found what ever he was looking for. He walked into my view smiling at the object. I felt my heart sink.
It was a branding iron in the shape of the ship's logo, a triangle with an eye. Bill looked at me grinning as fear shot through me. Oh god. I thought What is he going to do?
"What do you think I'm going to do Pinetree?" He asked mockingly. I was so scared, I didn't even fully register that he had read my mind. Even if I did, I don't think I would have cared in that moment. I gulped.
"You'r-you're not going to..." I couldn't finish the sentence. All I could do was stare at the iron. Bill shrugged.
"I have to mark you as my property some way. Otherwise people might think they can take you as there own." His smirk changed from mockery to evil. "And I don't like it when people touch my property." He took a step towards me. In response I went back to struggling against my restraints. "Now now. Calm down." He said grabbing my shoulders. "The more you struggle the more it will hurt."
I tried to kick him, but with a snap of his fingers my legs were chain to the chair. I fought with all my might, but he didn't even seem to notice. One of his fingers traced my cheek, sending a shiver down my spine, as he grab my bandana. He began to untie it and my heart skipped a beat. My headband was gift from Grunkle Stan, it always gave me a sense of safety, even in the worst of situations. And this was the worst of situations.
  "No!" I screamed.
"Relax, I'll give it back once I'm done." Bill stayed matter-of-factly. "The name Pinetree doesn't exactly make sense without it, but it's in the way." I felt the bandana knot loosen, until it was completely untied. Bill took the cloth and threw it over his shoulder. "There we go. Now let's see." He pushed my bangs up, revealing my forehead...revealing my birthmark. I felt his hand freeze when he spotted by birthmark. I closed my eyes and held my breath. I had no idea what was going on in his head, but I was prepared for the worst. Bill let out a quite whistle.
"Will you look at that." He whispered. I opened my eyes slowly. He was still staring at my forehead. "I've never seen anything like that." He saw me looking at him and grin. "I guess I know where you got your name from now, eh Dipper?" I glared for a second, before I tore my eyes away from his. Bill chuckled before glancing back at my birthmark. He suddenly frowned and looked down at the branding iron. "It be a shame to destroy it." He sat like that for a second.
"Dang it." He sighed getting up. "I'll have to figure out a new place to place my mark." He walked past me, throwing the iron on his desk. "Looks like you got lucky Pinetree. You get to have a break before I do anything."
My heart was slowing down, and my head was buzzing. I was trying to process what just happened. I became so panic when I saw the iron that everything after seem like a blur. I was breathing a sigh of relief as my mind put the dots together.
"Wait a minute!" I yelped, trying to face him. Bill hummed in question. "You were going to bran my forehead!?!" There was a second of silence before Bill erupted with laughter.
"You're just now realizing that?" he choked through his laughter. I watched as he fell on the floors in front of me crying. I couldn't decide if he generally thought my panic confusion was this funny, or if he was being over dramatic. He wiped a tear from his eye. "Little slow on the up take aren't we Pinetree?"
My cheeks flushed with embarrassment. He was right, it was obvious what his plan was, but I was so full of panic, I wasn't processing anything correctly. I felt stupid. Bill grabbed a chair from behind his desk and pulled it in front of me. He sat on it backwards, so he could lean his arms against the back.
"Oh that was too funny." He said. "But to answer your question. Yes, yes I was. That's where I always mark my property. It's painful, and pain is always hilarious, and it's somewhere everyone can see it!" He said proudly. "It's also allows me to kept track of my property."
  "I'm not your property."
"Oh but you are Pinetree! It made not be 100% official until I brand you, but that will happen soon enough." I growled and looked away. I could feel his grin widening. "You know Pinetree, I thought you be more happy about this!"
"Oh yeah. I absolutely thrilled to be kidnapped with my sister and tormented by...whatever the heck you are." I said sarcastically. Bill chuckled.
"Aw, is little Pinetree scare to say what I am? It's ok Pinetree, I know you know." He scooted closer and lean forward. "You might as well just say it." He whispered in my ear. I glared at him. He sighed.
"Fine have it your way." He said leaning back. "You should still be happy. I mean I thought you wanted to be exactly like your Great Uncle Ford." My head shot up at the mention of Great Uncle Ford. Bill smiled. "Got your attention now don't I?" How did he know that I want to be like Ford? Bill waved his hand as if he was dismissing something.
"Pinetree, I know lots of things. But that's besides the point. You should be happy! I'm helping you follow in your Sixer's footsteps!"
"And how is that?" I asked, trying to put sarcasm in my voice. I knew I shouldn't have responded, but I was curious. As much as I knew about Great Uncle Ford there was double the amount I didn't know. And I wanted to know. I hated being left in the dark. And based of the look he gave me, there wasn't a doubt in my mind that Bill didn't know that. In fact, he was counting on it.
"It's simple Pinetree." Bill mocked. "I own old Fordsy." I laughed.
"No you don't!" I snapped. "There's no way! Ford's too smart to ever be caught by you!"
"Really? Then how are you here?" The doubt was already buzzing into my head before Bill asked. He's right. He caught Ford just now. He caught all of us. That's how Mabel and I are here. If Bill really couldn't catch Ford... I shook the thoughts out of my head.
"That's different." I whispered. "He-he meant to be caught by you. Yeah! He let himself me capture, because he didn't want you to hurt any of us!" Bill raised his eyebrow at me. I felt myself lose hope, but then I glanced at the iron on Bill's desk. I victory smile appeared on my face. "Besides! You said it yourself. You always mark your property! You mark them on their forehead so everyone can see. So, if Great Uncle Ford is your property how come I never seen your mark on him?" Bill hummed and looked down in concentration. He eventually shrugged.
"Looks like you got me Pinetree!" He said getting up, and pushing his chair back behind his desk. I couldn't help but feel smug. I won. "Although," Bill continued. I felt my smirk drop as he turned and gave me his own triumphant smirk. "Don't you think it's weird that he's always wearing that bandana?"
"I-" I froze. I couldn't think of a response. I search my memory desperately, trying to remember any time we're Ford didn't have his bandana on, but I couldn't come up with anything. He always had it on, even when he was sleeping. Isn't that why I always wore mine? So, I could be more like him?
I felt my breathing speed up as Bill chuckled. He knelt down and pushed my head up so that we were making eye contact.
"Poor Pinetree," He whispered. "You look tired. You really should get some sleep." Before I could respond he placed his other hand over my eyes. "Good night Pinetree." As he said that I felt a surge of energy flow through my body. When he removed his hand my eyelids began to drop.
"No..." I desperately tried to keep my eyes open, but it was a losing battle. As my eyes finally closed, and I fell asleep to Bill's promise.
"We've start the real fun tomorrow."
