JOE'S POV
I was finally on my way home after my flight got delayed, the week had been quite stressful. And I hadn't really had time to catch up with my mates, I hadn't really had time for anything other than work lately. I felt completely drained, and I couldn't wait so get a good night's sleep in my own bed.
As I headed into the elevators, I heard some giggling behind me and then a voice saying, "Could you hold the elevator please?" I press the button quickly, so the doors reopen. I couldn't place that accent. Two girls walked in, one definitely more drunk than the other. The younger one was leaning on the slightly smaller redhead.
"Thank you, fourth floor please." Australian maybe? She smiled at me while I pushed the 4th floor button. It was the most perfect smile I had ever seen, and her eyes were big and brown. The kind of eyes you could just melt into and gaze into forever. I pretended to look at something important at my phone until the girls walked out.I couldn't help myself, I just had to look at her again. The redhead was petite, her friend was a few inches taller. Her body was absolutely perfect, curves in all the right places. She was wearing thigh high boots, a leather skirt that hugged her hips nicely and a white top I contrast to the skirt and hair. Her red curls bouncing as she walked with her friend. It was just something about her, no girl had ever caught my attention like that so quickly. Just before the door closed her friend leaned over and said, "that guy was so cute don't you think?" I saw the redhead turn bright red and smiled to myself. I hope will see her again sometime. I headed straight to bed when I got into my apartment.
My night was filled with dreams about red hair, I woke up pretty late and decided to have a lazy morning. I unpacked my suitcase and decided to make myself a decent breakfast. When I opened the fridge, it was almost completely empty and everything in it was out of date. I guess I had forgotten to order new groceries again. I threw on some jeans and a hoodie and walked to the M&S around the corner. I picked up everything I needed and headed back home. On my way into the lobby I spotted a familiar redhead, with bags from M&S in her hands. How had I not seen her there, the bright red hair would have been easy to spot. Well he might think I was stalking her if I talked to her there.
I decided to be brave and said "hey Reddo" a little loud so she would hear me. She turned around quickly a confused look on her face for a few seconds until she recognized me "Ahh, elevator guy?" I nodded as I pressed the button on the elevator. The doors opened quickly and we both stepped in. "Fourth floor, right?" I asked. "Yes, thank you" she responded; her arms were to full of bags to press the buttons anyway. Common joe try to get a conversation started I thought as an awkward silence filled the elevator.
"Soo you're Australian right?" I looked at her hoping I was right.
"Yeah, West coast near Perth, oh this is me. Bye" The elevator had stopped, and the doors opened. She walked out and I waved bye as she looked at me over her shoulder. Our eyes locked on each other and we both smiled wide, until we were stopped by the doors closing in front of me.
