Elevator guy

DIANNE'S POV

I decided to FaceTime Amy and Chloe while I was making my dinner. They both responded quickly. "Hi, you guys are never going to guess what happened. I met elevator guy again"
"omg, really?" Chloe asked excitedly.
"Wait what, who?" Amy asked.
"Oh, sorry Ames, forgot you weren't here last night. When me and Chloe were going home last night, we took the elevator with this guy, he was kind of cute."
"come on Dianne, you think he's more than cute, you were almost drooling last night" Chloe fired at me, I went bright red as the other two laughed at me.
"Go on then, what happened with the hot elevator guy today?" Amy asked, after they had calmed down a little.

"Well I was walking home from M&S when I heard someone say hey Reddo"
"oh, I like the nickname" Amy interrupted.
"Anyways, I didn't recognize him at first since he was wearing a hoodie instead of a suit like yesterday. But I remembered fast. He remembered what floor I was on and pushed the button for me. And then he asked me if I was Australian. And then he smiled at me when I told him I was. And then I walked out of the elevator and our eyes connected and we both smiled until the doors closed. I think we kind of had a moment actually. But he might just have been nice." the other two listened intently while I talked.
"So, you got to look into his eyes this time?" Chloe Asked.
"Yeah, they are nice, Ocean Blue." I said.

They are more than that though. They remind me of the ocean views back in Australia, The Kind of eyes that can stare straight into yours and just read your soul. They were still kind of emotionless, like when I looked at him the other night. However, I was pretty sure that was a front he put up to the world, cause when he smiled at me, they sparkled. I didn't tell the girls all of that of course.
"I think our little Di has a little crush "Amy smiled widely, and Chloe giggled. I went red again, shaking my head at them. Well I might, who knows. I just got out of a relationship, and I'm starting a new job. Now is really not the time, but I guess I could get to know they guy. That wouldn't hurt would it?

"Are you excited for your first day of work for your new boss tomorrow then?" Chloe asked, bringing me out of my train of thought.
"I guess I am, I know how to do most Things, and Sophie told me it's easy to pick things up as you go. But I still feel like I'm running towards a cliff, and that I can't stop so I just have to jump into unknown waters." I sighed.
"You know what di, sometimes that is a good thing. Getting a little out of your comfort zone." Amy smiled reassuringly. "
I think you'll be just fine" Chloe said
. "Thanks girls, I better head to bed now. Early day tomorrow." They both said goodnight and I went to sleep as soon as my head hit the pillows.
