"Please! You have to tell me!"

Seokjin turned his back and tried his best to ignore the pleading boy behind him.

Namjoon gritted his teeth - this was his last hope. He moved to face the apprentice and looked pleadingly into his empty, black eyes.

"Please..."

Jin sighed and looked back, tilting his head.

"I told you already, Kim." He said in a gentle but firm tone. "I am on my final warning - If I interfere one more time with the mortals, I will be punished severely."

"You're dead! What can they do to you?!" The younger asked, sounding a little more ignorant than he had intended - he was trying to beg, not insult... but he couldn't help it...

He fell on his knees and clasped his hands together, begging with his last bit of hope.

"I would do anything for Taehyung... You can't just expect me to stand by and watch as he gets murdered! You're my last hope! Believe me - I am going against all of my beliefs by coming here. I wasn't ready to believe in the afterlife or any of this reaper rubbish, but I have no other choice!"

Seokjin closed his eyes.

"Stand up."

Namjoon did so tentatively, unsure as to what the older was planning.

"How far would you go for Kim Taehyung?"

'To the ends of the Earth. To the moon and back. To infinity...' Namjoon thought.

"I would die for him." He explained simply, but he meant it. He never realised how much Tae meant to him until something like this happened. He would give anything in the universe to save him.

Jin sighed, looking at the ground then back at Namjoon.

"This goes against everything my boss ever said to me." He muttered to himself.

Oh well... What choice did he have? Yes he was a reaper apprentice, but he had been a man once.

He knew how crushed Namjoon would become if he kept quiet...

For Jin there was no choice. He had to tell the younger - screw the punishments.

It was the right thing to do...

He was dead... what could they do to him?

The apprentice reached into his long, black coat and produced six sheets of folded newspaper - the front covers of each of Tae's special papers.

He went to hand them to Namjoon, but kept a firm hold when the younger went to take them.

Looking into the human's eyes, he spoke softly.

"I can do no more than give you these, with two simple words." He said.

"And those words?" Namjoon asked eagerly. He needed this - it was his last hope.

"Think backwards..."

With that, Jin was gone in a few wisps of shadow.

Great... Couldn't he have just told him? He had to deal with riddles now?

Namjoon unfolded the sheets of paper and sighed, reading each one in his head.

'Ilsan hospital fire kills four. Guilty until proven innocent. National jockey takes a dive. Overturned - popular K-pop idol killed in fatal car crash. Overdose. Young homeless boy found dead.'
