Hope you enjoy chapter 26.
*2 hours later*
(Josh POV)
I turn off the car, walk inside, and realize it's awfully quite.
"Brook?" I say.
No answer.
"Where is she?" I ask to myself.
I go upstairs to her room, but she's not there.
I then try to call her cell, but that's when her phone starts ringing.
"Dammit, Brook. Where are you?"
Then it came to me.
Nate escaped jail, he probably came back for her.
Then I get a text message from a blocked number.
Don't bother coming to look for her. She's mine and no one will find us.
That supports my thought.
I have to make a couple phone calls.
"Dad?" I ask when he answers the phone.
"Yes, Josh. What's wrong?"
"Brook. She's gone."
"Did he take her?"
"Yes."
"Did you call the police?"
"Not yet. As soon as I'm done talking to you I will."
"Ok. You go do that and I'll be home as soon as possible." I hear shuffling, probably him speed walking.
With that, he ends the conversation, I call the police and try to work things out.
(Brook POV)
"Let's get a few things straight." Nate says when he sees that I'm awake.
"You may have made it out the first time, but this time, you won't."
"And why do you say that?"
"Well one, we're keeping you down here, two, I have stronger men now, and three, this whole place is set up with an electric fence that goes on every night."
I try to get loose, but then Nate comes up to me.
"Try struggling more and you'll regret it."
"I will struggle whenever I want to."
I managed to get the rope undone and started running out.
"Stop it. Let me go." I yell when Nate holds me back from freedom.
"Hey, Mark. I need help here." He yells as I'm trying to get free.
"What do you need?" Mark asks.
"Dart gun."
"Wait-" I was about to ask, when a bit of pain starts.
I look down and see a dart in my stomach.
I begin to feel a little dizzy.
Nate's grip loosens a bit.
I pull out the dart and throw it at Mark.
Surprisingly, it goes into his arm.
"Nice shot." Mark smiles.
I push Nate back, run upstairs and lock the basement door.
"Hey. Get us the fuck out of here." Mark yells through the door.
I smile and start to run out, and that's when I run into someone else.
I slowly step back before I run into the door.
"Name's Tom."
"Hey."
He sticks out his hand.
I just stare at it.
"You know it's rude to leave people hanging."
"You know it's rude to act like my dad when you're not."
"Well we both know your dad's a dick."
"No he's not."
"Then why did you leave your house that night?"
"Don't you dare."
"It's because of your stupid father. The father you yell at constantly, and hate."
I charge and start to punch him.
He just gets frustrated and pins me to the wall.
I spit in his face.
"That's not sanitary." He says.
"Time to teach you a lesson." He says before repeatedly punching me.
Before I know it, I'm on the ground spitting blood.
"Get up." He says grabbing my shirt and forcing me to walk.
He opens the basement door.
When Mark and Nate see me, they just look at me, stunned.
Tom then pushes me towards the stairs and that's when I trip and fall down them, landing on my back.
He forces me to stand, again, and walk over to where I was before.
When I am, he grabs handcuffs and puts one around my wrist and the other around the pole.
"That should teach her a lesson." He says before walking away and slamming the door shut, leaving me in pain and to my own thoughts.

Thank you.
