Lullaby

Chapter:16 

"Lullaby" 

"Pass. Pass! quick!", Luhan calls out to the midfielder. The midfielder passes the ball to Luhan. Luhan brilliantly takes it and dribbles towards the goal. Avoiding the defenders, he shots the ball in the goal. The goal keeper just stands there not believing. It was all to quick for him. 

"Asa!",Xiumin chants as he and the rest of the team members run toward Luhan and lifts him in the air. 

It was there practice match against another school to prepare for the inter school soccer championship. 

"That was great! You're the best forward we have!",Xiumin praises Luhan as he drinks some water. 

"Ah geez..You're embarrasing me.You're the best All rounder though. Just help me get to the front ok?",Luhan says as he bumps fists with Xiumin who in return gives him a gummy smile.  

Both of the teams bow to each other and then the team of EXO high goes into their locker room to change up. 

"Hey Luhan great job! Keep it up!",The team members say one by one making him to blush.He changes by his locker and looks for Xiumin who is nowhere to be found. 

"Hey Minho! Where's Xiumin?",Luhan asks one of the team members. 

"Oh...well he's kind of shy so he always changes in the shower room. He looks manly but is not I suppose",Minho replies while giggling. 

On hearing this Luhan decides to surprise him. He quietly walks towards the shower room.  

"Ok...3...2..1! BOO!",Luhan says loudly as he goes inside. 

"Wah?! Huh?!",Xiumin says as he looks terrified and shocked.Luhan smiles at him but it quickly fades as he sees numerous scars covering his torso and back. 

"Xiumin are you hurt?! What hap-",Luhan is cut of as he feel pain spreading through his entire face. He feels Xiumin's hard knuckles on his face as he drops on the floor from the impact. 

"OW!", Luhan groans as he holds his face.  

Xiumin just stands over looking at him but realises that it's Luhan. He quickly buttons his shirt and sits beside him. 

"Gwenchana?(are you ok?) Mianhe(sorry) But you surprised me!", Xiumin says concerned and apologetic. 

"I'll be fine but what about you? You....you were covered in scars.....", Luhan says 

Xiumin looks around nervously and tries to change the topic."C'mon lets take you to the nurse's office." 

Luhan gets confused and gets up. He follows Xiumin to the nurse office. 

"Aigoo!(omg) You got a black eye. Got into a fight or something."The nurse asks Luhan as she gives him an icepack. Xiumin looks down still feeling bad about hitting Luhan. 

"Ah no . I was having soccer practice and got hit by the ball.",Luhan says while taking the icepack. The nurse gives him a nod and tells him to rest a bit. 

"Mianhe(sorry).....", Xiumin says again, still feeling guilty. 

"Its ok.........I should be the one apologizing......But wont you tell me about those scars...",Luhan asks. 

Xiumin fiddles around with his fingers for a bit and then decides to speak. 

"I did told you my past.My life in that dreaded factory and how I was beaten......The scars are due to that.......",Silence follows Xiumins words. 

Luhan pats his shoulder and says sorry. He knows he should'nt ask too much from Xiumin. His past was definitly not something amusing. 

They both head out from the nurse office and starts to walk to their class room. Along the way Luhan hears Xiumin humming some kind of a tune.
