Earthquake

Chapter:7 

"Earthquake" 

It's a beautiful morning with clouds in the sky and gentle breeze. Kris looks outside his room's window. He wants to ride the beautiful wind.He quickly gets his aviator goggles and flies along with the wind. He flies higher in sky as he can and then stays there for a while.The scenary is breath taking!.He never saw the world this beautiful before. 

Lay goes inside Kris's room to wake him up but does'nt sees him there.He starts to search for Kris in the whole house wondering where he's gone off to.He walks outside of his house and searches the street.Right then he sees something falling from the sky towards him.The thing falls into some near by bushes.Lay quickly runs towards the bushes and finds Kris groaning while rubbing his head. 

"Ow!..",Kris says. 

"What were you doing? You could've hurt yourself really badly you know!"Lay asks while helping Kris to stand up. 

Kris:"I just went out for a little flight.But i guess i still don't know how to fully control my powers.I came crashing down badly." 

Kris looks at Lay and finds his eyes swollen red.He guesses Lay had been crying all night due to yesterday's incident.Xue Li's death had been really hard on Lay,But right now he was forcing a smile even though he was hurt inside.They both go inside the house for breakfast.Both of them had packed thier stuff as they get ready to search for another guardian.Just this early morning Kris got a message from his grandfather via a messenger bird.In the message his grand father had told him to meet a certain person in Beijing but it was not written who that person was or where to meet him in Beijing. 

"If we dont know who he is how are we suppose to find him then?",asks Lay who puts their stuff into his car as they get ready for their trip to Beijing. 

Kris:"I dont know... *sigh* I wish gramps would tell me something clearly for once!" 

They both get into the car and Lay starts driving.As they drive Kris hears a cat's meow from the back seat.Startled by the noise Kris turns around and really finds a cat in the backseat.The cat is a beautiful white persian with a pink bow around it's neck. 

Kris turns towards Lay and asks him."What is a cat doing in the car!?" 

Lay:"Oh she's my pet. Her name is Candy.  

Kris:'' You're not thinking to bring that along as we travel right?" 

Lay:"Ofcourse not. I going to drop her off at a friend's house first.I could'nt just leave her alone at my house now can I?" 

Kris:"But i never saw her in you're house before..." 

Lay:"Oh.. thats because she likes to stay in my room and didn't came out when you were there.She's shy." 

By then they reach a small neighbourhood and Lay stops infront of a small house . He takes candy from the back seat and gets out of the car. 

"C'mon! I want you to meet my friend too." Lay says to Kris . Kris also gets of the car and follows Lay. 

Lay rings the door bell of the small house.They wait for about a minute when they hear the door opening. A girl comes out.She's medium heighted and quite skinny,wearing a t-shirt with plain jeans.Her hair is pulled into a bun while some bangs cover her face. She's also wearing glasses and a pair of earings. 

''Hey Mei~",Lay cooes to her. 

"Lay!" The girl says excitedly and quickly hugs Lay."You did'nt told me you were coming.Oh! and you bought Candy too~" .The girl takes Cnady from Lay's hand and snuggles it.She then notices Kris standing beside Lay.
