"BUT IT'S A DEMON! THEY'RE NOT ALLOWED HERE!" shouted a stranger. I looked at the kid.what was her name again?... Elizabeth...Elizabeth was knocked out but still ok. I looked back up at the strangers.
"YEAH, SO WHAT" my friend pointed at me I glared.
"HE'S A SENTINEL...and yet you don't flip the fuck out about it"
"It's considered human," said the stranger. My friend looked at me.
"Don't believe I've properly introduced myself ...I'm Ulysses...Ulysses Odysseus ... " said Ulysses.
"Deckerd...Deckerd Shaw, this is Elizabeth"I said
"HE'S A MORTAL" shouted a stranger. Ulysses sighed
"ITS A FUCKING SENTINEL! YOU WANT DAM PROOF?" Ulysses shouted. They all glared at him as he looked at me, Ulysses pulled out his revolver and aimed at my head.
"Forgive me Deckerd" he shot me in the head. Everyone screamed and saw the bullet pop out of my head as they all ran.
"Ahh...shit man... that one fucking stung..." I said holding my head. I noticed Elizabeth open her eyes, her eyes were red as she tried grabbing Ulysses by the throat, but she fell back going unconscious.
"At least you guys are not freaks in my eyes," Ulysses said. Ulysses helped me up with Elizabeth in my arms.
"The feelings the same..." I saw Maddison walk towards us. I rolled my eyes.
"Watch it Ulysses she almost saw you as a threat" Madison said rubbing her stomach.
"No need miss Eden...it's impossible for me to die..." Ulysses said. I looked down at Elizabeth and heard her groan in pain.
"You both should be heading home Deckerd," she said
"Why?" I asked. before Maddison could answer I noticed smoke in the distance. My eyes widen, It was where the orphanage was.
"No...no no MAMA!"I shouted. I bolted to the orphanage with Elizabeth in my arms, laying her down seeing Victa and Owen evacuate the children.
"VICTA IS MAMA OK?!" I shouted
"DECKERD, MAMA IS STILL INSIDE WITH ELLIE" Victa replied shouting. I ran inside the orphanage unaware Elizabeth followed. she shouted
"YOU GET ELLIE ILL GET MAMA IREN" I nodded and ran upstairs with Elizabeth.
"ELLIE! WHERE ARE YOU?" I shouted. I started to hear beeping noises, Then I saw Ellie, she was connected to her oxygen tanks; I picked up a tank and picked up Ellie.
"I'm sorry I wasn't here...I think I know someone who can help you by the way" I ran outside carrying Ellie, I started to hear the place fall apart.
"What happened here Victa?" I asked.
"We don't know! Mama was tucking the kids in then we heard shouting" Victa replied
"Hold on to Ellie..." I said. I saw Mama appear with a teleporting device on her back, she was very tired. I looked at the building and clenched my first seeing the building fall. I ran back in, bashing fracture debris out of my way, seeing Elizabeth being crushed by ceiling beams.
"There's no fucking way I'm going to listen to mama cry over you..." I said. I picked Elizabeth up and bolted out of the place, carrying her in my arms.
"MIHO! You saved her!" mama shouted. she hugged me
"Only for you mama..."
"Thank you, Miho thank you so much"
"It was nothing mama...you would have done the same, "I said. I saw Ulysses appear with medical kits as he started to check on everyone. I looked at Elizabeth seeing her open her eyes weakly. I sighed.
"I'm only saving you this once..."I told her.
"D-d-Deckerd...."Elizabeth said weakly. I looked at mama.
"Where are we gonna live now?..." I asked
"I dont know miho....I dont know.." mama replied. Hours past, I was sitting by Elizabeth's medical bed, watching her wake up.
"You're lucky you know..."I said sharpening my knife.
"H-h-how?" she asked
"Because I could have left your ass in that building...but I came back for you so don't make me regret it..."
"T-t-thank you..." she said. I tried not to smile as I kept sharpening my knife.
"Yeh...it wasn't a problem kid..."I said. She winced trying to get up, I got up and laid her down
"Lay down...you were crushed by multiple ceiling beams..." she sighed.
"Great...more on my luck..." she said. I looked at her.
"Yeah ya...fuck you two..." I rolled my eyes.
"Obviously you didn't get that..." she looked up at the ceiling smiling.
"What are you smiling about?"I asked her. She looked at me
"You're cute you know that..."
"What drugs did they put you on..." I asked
"I'm trying to be nice and not so doubtful plus" she pointed to her ivy reliving the pain killers in the bag, I rolled my eyes more.
