It just came to mind last semester. I was watching a Yugioh amv and then was studying Greek for terminology. You can't blame me for my addled brains.

Okay, feel free to comment on the morbidity

~~~~~~~~~~~
There is no nourishment here...
No wind to cool the sun-scorched skin
No water to soothe the searing throat
No food to sait the silent starvation
Nothing...
There is only the golden dust beneath
The hisses softly beneath one's feet
That changes swiftly, in wind and storm,
This wastelands fragile scenery
And just there
At the end of thy vision
Do you see the ripples of sand
That threaten to drift you into hallucination
And lead you to stem your dying thirst
hunger
pain
Alas a hallucination appears
Thou shalt not heed it
For well do you know the rumours
Of the treaturous, cruel illusions
And so you will bypass the greenery
And continue onwards
And behind
The Oasis mourns your loss
And awaits the next sad soul
As you trundle on throuhg the heat
And the sands laugh beneath your feet
You will rejoin the land soon
And be one with the sand
