I've Got You

~chapter thirty~

OWENS POV
I was driving home from work and it was pretty late. I pulled into the driveway and I saw the bedroom light on which meant Amelia was still awake. I quietly closed the door behind me, hoping not to wake the girls. I walked upstairs and I opened my door to see Amelia and Sophia passed out. They were so cute. The TV was turned on which meant Amelia probably fell asleep with it on. I shut the TV off and changed and I heard Amelia roll over.
"Hey," she said softly.
"Hey," I said.
"How was work?" She asked.
"It was good," I said.
"Good," She said.
"I see we're having another sleepover," I joked.
"She said she couldn't sleep because she missed you at work," Amelia said. I looked down at my precious Sophia sleeping next to Amelia.
"It's okay for another night," I chuckled.
"She's so cute," Amelia smiled. While I was away I can tell Amelia really bonded with the girls, but especially Sophia. I crawled into bed next to Amelia. I kissed her softly and she smiled. She nuzzled into me and I smiled. She was so perfect, I love her so much.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too," she smiled.
"Do you think she'll go back to sleeping normally?" I asked.
"Yeah," Amelia said, "especially now that you're back."
"Did she sleep in here a lot while I was away?" I asked.
"Yeah," Amelia said.
"I like how you've bonded with them," I smiled,
"It's cute." She smiled.
"I love your daughters they're adorable," she said.
"And you're adorable," I said.
"Daddy?" I heard Sophia say.
"I'm sorry did we wake you?" I frowned.
"No it's okay," she said, "you're home."
"I am," I smiled. She smiled and snuggled up into Amelia. Amelia smiled down at her and put her arm around her.
"Hey Sophia you need to start sleeping in your own room," I chuckled.
"Can I stay in here tonight? Please?" She begged.
"Yes," I said, "for tonight."
"Okay," she said excited.
"Hey it's late though you need to go back to bed," I said.
"Okay Fine," She said, "I love you."
"I love you too," I said.
"Good night Amelia love you too," she said and yawned. I saw Amelia smile.
"I love you too Sophia," Amelia said. I just loved how close they were.
