OWENS POV
I still haven't proposed to Amelia. I really don't know why but I'm scared. I also haven't talked to the girls about it or Derek. I mean I know Derek will say yes, and I know the girls love Amelia but I don't know how they feel about me marrying her. Amelia was at work right now so it was a good time to ask them. I walked into the kitchen and they were eating breakfast which of course, Sophia cooked.
"So I have a hypothetical question per say," I said.
"Okay," Olivia chuckled.
"So If say, I was going to propose to Amelia, how would you feel about it?" I asked. Both their faces lit up and I smiled.
"Did you do it?" Olivia asked.
"Did you!" Sophia said and jumped into my arms.
"No," I chuckled, "I wanted to make sure it was okay with you guys." They both looked at each other and nodded.
"Yeah," they said, "it's okay with us." I smiled because I was so glad they liked Amelia too.
"So do you have a ring?" Olivia asked.
"Yeah," I said.
"Ooh So when are you going to do it?" She asked.
"I don't know," I said.
"Are you nervous?" Sophia asked.
"I mean a little," I chuckled.
"Aw," Olivia said, "Well she'll definitely say yes."

Amelia was coming home soon and I kinda wanted to propose to her tonight. I needed to call Derek though. I picked up my phone and dialed his number.
"Hey what's up?" Derek asked.
"Hey quick question," I said, "Can I propose to Amelia?"
"Of course you can," he chuckled, "you didn't have to ask but I appreciate it."
"Thanks," I said.
"So when are you proposing?" He asked.
"Possibly tonight," I said.
"She'll for sure say yes," he said, "and congratulations dude."
"Thanks," I said smiling.
"Well a heads up she just left work," Derek said.
"Okay thanks," I said. We actually had cute lights outside on our patio so I turned those on, and I quickly ran out to the store and bought a bunch of flowers. I was practically shaking I was so nervous. I had it all set up and I walked into the kitchen and the girls smiled at me.
"Oh you're nervous," Olivia chuckled.
"Shut up," I chuckled. I had the ring in my pocket and I heard the front door open and moments later Amelia came into the kitchen.
"Hey," she smiled and kissed me.
"Hey how was work?" I asked.
"It was good," she said. The girls smiled at me and I realized I was nervous for nothing.
"Hey we'll be upstairs," Olivia said and ran upstairs with Sophia.
"Okay," I said. I looked at Amelia and she smiled.
"Hey can you come outside for a minute?" I asked.
"It's cold outside," she joked.
"Amelia," I said.
"I was kidding sure," she chuckled.
"Close your eyes," I said. She looked kinda confused and I knew she didn't see the ring while I was overseas. I grabbed her hand and opened the back door and walked outside. I stopped in front of her and I smiled.
"Okay you can open your eyes now," I chuckled. She opened her eyes and when she say the flowers and everything I knew she knew. I smiled and got down on one knee as she put her hand to her mouth.
"I never thought I would get the opportunity to do this, but I am so thankful I am. I thought from the minute i thought you were cute that I had no chance, but here we are. Amelia, I love you so much. We've been through so much together and I wouldn't have wanted to do it with anyone else. I love how you've become a mother to my daughters, and how much they love you, and how we've become a family. You got me through Iraq. I thought of you all the time, and not a minute went by when I wasn't thinking of you. You make me happy Amelia, and you make my girls really happy. You make me want to go to work and want to get up in the morning, or stay up until 3 am talking. You're my best friend, and I need you in my life. You've made me such a better dad and a better person, and I'm thankful for you in my life. I don't want to go through the rest of my life without you, I want you to be apart of it, so, with all that said, Amelia Shepherd will you marry me?" I asked. She was now crying and she smiled.
"Yes I will Owen Hunt," she said. I smiled and slide the ring into her finger and hugged her.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too," she said. I pulled away and smiled at her, and then I kissed her softly. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I pulled her close to me. I was the happiest man alive.
