I let Frank bring me into my room, the door closing behind us. (although I think he used his foot to shut it.)
"I uh...I mean. Are you tired?"
Was all I could think to say, ignoring all of his attempts at making eye contact.
I heard him laugh quietly, brushing a piece of hair from my face and pushing it behind my ear.
"No. Im not tired."
"But you just-"
"Yeah, I know."
A smirk played at his lips, making the skin around the metal ring stretch slightly.
"Uh. What time does your mom want you home?"
Surprisingly, my voice wasn't as shaky as I'd imagined it'd be. I actually sounded pretty calm.
He just shrugged, a slight sigh passing his lips.
"I dont know. She's pretty mad at me right now...something about hitting that kid in the hall.."
He stepped back and flopped down on my bed. The sudden temperature change on my face when his hand pulled away made me sigh.
"Oh. Uh. Im sorry."
I sat down next to him, like we had before. Him lying down beside me and me sitting on the end of the bed, looking down at him.
"But I guess I have to go home. I don't really have anywhere else to say."
It sounded like he was proposing an idea for him to stay over night at my house, but I couldnt let him. I wouldn't be able to sleep with a near stranger in the room.
"Y-yeah."
I sighed, agreeing with him.
"It's a shame I can't stay longer."
Now he was sitting up beside me, one leg crossed on the bed, the other hanging over the side.
"Yeah..uh..s-sorry about that. My uh...m-my mom isnt crazy about new people staying over."
That was a lie. She didn't care. She didn't care at all. It was myself that cared. I couldn't sleep here with him.
"It's cool."
A smile formed on his lips and he pressed his finger tips to my cheeks, his touch softer than anything before.
"I'll see you tomorrow. "
His voice was just as soft as his touch and it made me shiver slightly.
"Alright.."
I said softly, ignoring the buring sensation in my face as I most likely was blushing.
He breathed out a laugh, brushing my hair back again since it fell in my eyes....again. Then he was standing up, his hands going deep into his pockets again.
"I wont be such a dick in first period tomorrow again..I swear."
I couldnt help but let myself smile a bit.
"Thanks."
I mumbled.
He just smiled again, swaying back on his heels.
"Not a problem."
Then before I could respond he was walking out the door and I couldnt help but watch as he left.

The next morning I'd taken maybe just ten minutes longer getting ready. Yeah, I know. Who was I trying to impress? But this time I actually was trying to impress someone. Frank.
