Part 26 Thank you

Jas looked at herself in the mirror, it was in the room and in her view... And she hated the fact that part of her hair was shaved off, making her sigh and close her eyes as she focused on making it grow back like she had it before... But ended it up with long dark brown hair "Gonna need to get it cut then" she sighed as she flopped back on the bed while wondering when she would be able to leave, the sound of the door opening slightly made her turn to see an orange kitten walk in and quickly jump on the bed towards her.

Not knowing what else to do Jas began petting the kitten who began to purr at her making Jas smile at the kitten who moved closer to her to lay on her lap... Leaving Jas to wonder on what to do next in all of this, it was then that she heard someone "Klunk? Klunk where are you kitty?" she heard Mikey call out making her understand that this was his kitten, the kitten Klunk however didn't want to go to his owner for he began to sleep there as Mikey then came into the room to find them without looking at her hair that was now long "Oh! Klunk found you" he said making her nod as the kitten stretched for a moment with a yawn before curling back up on Jasmine's lap.

"Guess so" she replied as she then began to pet the kitten once more who purred at the action making Mikey slowly move to take a chair and sit at the edge of the bed "How are you feeling?" he asked making Jas turn to him in slight surprise at his question, she had been resting for the last two days now and felt much better now after everything she had gone through by Shinigami and what Angel attempted to do to her if it weren't for Mikey saving her "Better actually" she replied as she looked at Klunk who now decided to wake up and look at her as if she would know what he wanted at the moment making her look at the small orange creature confused.

"He's just hungry, let's go to the kitchen since i'm sure your also hungry right now" Mikey said making her nod as she picked up Klunk into her arms and followed Michelangelo, at the moment everyone was out Splinter having work and her friends with Mikey's brother's were at school while Mikey was still off school for now "Got something in mind to eat?" Mikey asked as she set Klunk down "Not really" she said making him nod, she never truly thought about what to eat since she always paid for her cat's food and needs bought something to eat for the day and then kept the rest of the money to pay the rent so she never could be picky on what she should eat.

Mikey looked at her and then began looking into the kitchen to see what they had right now and his options to what Jas could eat "How about something simple?" he suggested and with that he began to work on the food as she watched him while Klunk waited to be fed but his owner who was busy for now, Jas never cooked all that much with the limits she had in things so she couldn't do more then what she could afford but now she worries to do too much for her friends as she wasn't all that sure of the limits she had at all so all she could do is help when asked to do so, so she can do anything else for now until she could get a job at least to pay for her own place where she could do her own thing like the grown up she wanted to become.

Mikey moved to feed his cat who now looked happy at the fact that he was going to be getting some food now, when he was done with that task it was back to making something for Jas to eat who was watching him cook, he wasn't sure on what to say, of course he was a bit nervous because he wasn't all that sure about what she thought from the check he wanted her to have and all that, but it was certain that with the fact that she was near him meant she was alright with him now "Your hair grew back quickly. Is it something dragon's can do?" he asked not sure of what to talk about at the moment "It's what I can do since I am the last of my kind now"she responded making him mentally curse himself for saying that until he realized what she said.

"Last? As in... Your all alone as the dragon kind?" he asked making her slowly nod "Our scales, fangs and claws can sell for so much that were killed for them" she explained making him feel bad for speaking about her hair, he should have kept his mouth shut from the start and allow her to start the conversation with something she was alright at speaking about, but it was too late... A wound had been opened and now he was unable to close it and could only help with shutting it now as he turned with a plate of pasta and shrimp for her... That she took with a fork and walked back to the room she had been staying in so far, but then she stopped at the door to turn to look at him "Thank you for saving my life" and she then went inside and closed the door.

Mikey's brother arrived about three hours later, there father was coming home late so he wasn't going to be there until morning and as for Jasmine's friends well they said to have something to set up but Mikey had let them know that Jasmine's hair had grown back, as Leo worked on dinner he noticed how Donnie lightly knocked on the door to the room Jasmine was staying in and set something on the ground before walking away making her open the door to see it and get back inside with it in hand making him understand that it was now he and Raph who had to do something to say sorry to her now with Mikey and the check and now Donnie with something in a huge bag.
