Part 38 Telling the story

Each step she took, felt like she was drowning deeper in something that was unknown to her, even with Veronica and Leonardo who now had to take her this time by her side as they got to the police station... They could tell very well that this was very hard on her to do such a thing "Remember, your doing this so they can leave you alone for good" Leo said making her nod as then her body began to tremble, sadly it had been almost a week since Jasmine agreed to head to the police station to report her fake parents for there actions towards her almost her whole life thus the gang was rotating for two people to go with Jas to the station.

Getting inside the station was a new step in her getting to tell the police everything... Because yesterday she was just a building away from the station when she said she couldn't and wanted to go home,  the got to the desk and Leo explained what they were here for while Veronica got Jasmine some water to try and calm down a bit in all of this "Everything will be fine, there just going to ask you for your side of the story and then they'll read it out to you so to be certain they got everything and then you'll sign it" she whispered making Jas nod as a female officer came to get Jas for the questioning making Jas look over her shoulder before entering a room "Sit down please" she said making Jas do as told.

"So this will be very simple" the officer said making Jasmine nod "I'm officer Forest, you just need to tell me your story while I write it down and sometimes ask you questions, when done I will read it back to you and once you approve of it you sign and you can leave" she said making Jasmine nod and then began to tell her story, Veronica was texting the others about how Jasmine was telling the story right now making them them hope for the best "Don't look now... They came in" Leo whispered making Veronica worry about it happening as Leo noticed that lady at the counter looked panicked towards him as he did remember she had walked away a little after Jas walked off.

"What did you do?" he growled making the lady go pale and tremble in fear "T-they begged me to call them when I see there daughter, said they had to see her to understand why she never tried to call them for help" she explained as they then heard a scream making the two run over to see Jas being gripped by the arm hard by the man while the woman was shouting at the lady who was to talk with Jas about them now leaving with there daughter "I'm afraid I will need you to step away" the officer said making the two look at her "And why the hell should we!?" the man ordered "Because she signed the paper that tells me the story of the life she went through because of you two and until a judge can claim you to be able to take her you will need to stay away or I will need to put you under arrest" she explained making the two go wide eyed at her words.

They left moments later "You should make sure the lady at the counter understands certain things... She called them when Jas left with you" Leo explained making her eyes widen and glare at the girl while Veronica helped Jasmine out of the station "Well I got everything on paper, i'll call a judge and I have a friend who is a lawyer so they will look at this and will call when we get answers" she said making the three nod and walk out with Jas still shaking from what just happened to her in there, Leo wasn't happy about it either because they were tricked in a way as they got back to the Hamato home where Jas quickly went towards Mikey's room where he was just about to walk into so he simply let her in before he got inside.

"Is everything alright?" Angela asked after she saw Jas run to Mikey's room "Those two asked an officer to call them if Jasmine ever came to the station... They tried forcing her to go home with them" Leo explained making his brother's and Veronica's sister's glare in anger at the news, Mikey watched Jasmine's trembling figure crawl onto the bed and slowly covering herself up in his covers, pulling out his phone he texted Leo to know what happened to make her like this but before he could press send his brother told him what had happened at the police station... He didn't like how an officer tricked them well Jas to be specific into trusting them and it was certain that she wasn't going to trust them for a while.

"Wanna talk about it?" his voice was soft and it showed that he wouldn't care if she refused and would wait until she was ready to tell him, she slowly shakes her head making him while gently stroking her back to help her get to sleep for a bit so he could talk to the other's about all of this... It all had to end now more then ever then before and he was ready to go all out to protect Jas, when he saw she was now sleeping Mikey slowly walked out of his room to not wake her up "What do we do now?" he asked making them all turn to him as Leo then chuckled faintly with a smirk "I'm very glad you asked little brother" he said while then pulling out his phone and some papers... It was easy to tell that he had a plan to counter that horrid couple from trying to get what they want... Jasmine's dragon scales and they were just getting started on it all.
