[✅] Ichigo & Kisuke: Forever and Always

Chapter 13

After a while, you end up by the river and the train tracks. You carefully look both ways to make sure a train isn't coming. Ichigo holds out his hand to you in a gentlymanly fashion.

"No need to look so nervous. The trains stopped running on these tracks a while ago, after the accidents." You look up with a frown and take a step back.

"That helps none Ichigo! I grew up in a town where the trains ran through the middle of town and at least one person seemed to get hit by the train, even though it was their fault for trying to beat the train." You look down at the tracks with a defeated expression. Ichigo geabs a hold of your hand while he squeezes it gently.

"When I was a young boy, I could see ghosts," You look at Ichigo with a shocked expression but he continues, "and one day my mother and I were walking along the road there," he nods towards the road running parallel with the tracks. "and I saw a young girl who was standing on the bank of the river. She jumped it. I ran after her, my mother after me, and my mother was struck by the train here." As Ichigo is telling you this story, he is leading you towards the bank. He lets go of your hand and you snap out of your trance as he lays down the thin blanket and helps you sit down. He sits next to you and continues his story.

"It turns out that the young girl was a ghost and I had gotten my mother killed. My mother couldn't see the young girl so she didn't know why I had ran off so suddenly." You move yourself to sit behind Ichigo. You lean against his back and rap your arms around him.

"No. It was not your fault. The ghost looked at you and drew you in. Its the little girls fault. I bet she could see the goodness in your heart and wanted to replace it with darkness. But? She failed." You rest your chin on his shoulder. There is no way you could have known the little girl looked at him, he never mentioned it! Maybe... Maybe you subconciously remember this story. He has told it to you before.

"I remember the day I watched my parents get killed right in front of me... It was like a scene from an ancient Japanese movie. They were beheaded with a sword." You shake a little and huf him tighter.

"(Your name)... I'm sorry. This was supossed to be a happy night." You laugh a little.

"No. I am glad we have connected like this... I could not be happier." You kiss his cheek softly.
