Chapter 8

Of course, the two definitely had a cold the next day from sitting in the rain while it was freezing out and Louis insisted on going to school, because even if he doesn't like learning, he likes seeing his jerky friends and wanted to know if Harry was going.

It's thoughts like those that make Louis question if he has an obsession with the guy, because he constantly wonders what he's doing and how he is. Sometimes he even dreams of Harry, mainly sad ones with visions of how Harry killed his father, but of course it didn't scare the shorter lad.

"Bloody hell, it's freezing out," Louis coughed, walking into school with Liam and Zayn in tow. He was wearing a maroon sweater and skinny jeans, cause he doesn't like regular jeans. It became an addiction to always wear skinnies.

Zayn snorted, elbowing the lad and told him with a hint of sarcasm,"Well, maybe it wasn't the best idea to stay out late in the cold, rainy weather with a guy who killed someone, now was it?"

"Shut up, gosh," Louis grumbled, walking to his locker and put his bag in then grabbed his books and followed the lads to their lockers. While waiting for them to get their stuff, he glanced up and down the wall in search of a familiar head of curls.

When the three friends went down the hall, Louis finally spotted him. Harry was wearing a blue sweater, dark blue, and black skinny jeans like usual with a grey and black bandana wrapped around his curls. His nose was slightly red, eyes a little droopy and he looked exhausted. He was in the cold longer than Louis, so he isn't surprise that he probably feels more ill than him.

Seeing him was terrible for Louis, cause he feels bad for the guy. As everyone stares at Harry, whispering about him all the time when Harry did nothing wrong to them. Yes, he supposedly killed a person-his dad- but people don't have the full story, they don't know everything about why or how he didn't. If he even did, because Louis thinks maybe Harry didn't.

Louis passed by Harry, shocked when feeling the taller lad's eyes on him and turned, quickly seeing Harry look away and yeah, Harry was looking at him. He smirked when seeing the guy's cheeks turn a slight pink, which could be flushed from being sick, but he doubts it.Louis was right, this bad boy facade is totally an act.

Maybe not all of it, but the majority was. He's protecting himself, perhaps from getting hurt or just in general to get through life. However, Louis wants to know what the real Harry Styles is like, if he truly is this tough guy and a bit secluded, or maybe some sweet kid who is misunderstood. Hell, he's probably both and that makes Louis interested more.

While turning the hall to class, his eyes drifted to Harry who was with Niall now. Blue met green and Louis flashed him a small smile, shocked when the corner of Harry's lips turned up a bit, but so quick that maybe he was seeing things. Or maybe not.

After school, Louis was shocked when seeing his dad was home for once. He figured he had to have a day off every once in a while. And when his dad made soup for him, he smiled and thanked him. It was rare that they had these moments, but also nice.

As they sat in the kitchen, Louis looked outside and was happy when seeing the weather lightened up a bit, cause he wanted to swim in the pool his dad had. It was in ground and Louis loves swimming, so he wanted to take advantage of it.

His dad sat across from him and was silently on his phone, but then he soon spoke up and asked Louis,"So, you like football?"

"Course," Louis smiled a bit, slurping his soup. 

It was a habit people always picked on him about, though it honestly isn't his fault. It just happens and he's been doing it since he was a kid. He noticed the hesitant look in his dad's eyes, and he saw how he was hovering his fingers over his phone, not texing but making it look like he was.
