"Fourth of July is this meeting with the new leader of the Maize Cartel?" I asked Zone as he grinded the weed in the grinder behind his desk at the Pizza Shoppe. He exhaled, "Thats the note I got along with another note that said the day before we will get another note with the exact location. Which means we have under 24 hours to prepare to take out and entire cartel...or atleast cripple it." Zone has put this play in motion that cant be halted now. He have paid men, secured gangs, and broughts guns. This is happening. We know and the Maize Cartel knows alot of people aint leaving this meeting with a pulse.
"We got this. Im ready to go balls to the fucking wall." I assured him as he popped the grinder open and poured the weed in onto his wrap.
"Good. And no more bodies until this battle. We cant keep throwing bodies on the Maize Cartel. Jade, Sun, and that rat ass agent from that hotel. As long as it stays between us we good." He told me as I clapped him up and headed out. I went into the alley and hopped in my car. I backed out and as I headed back to campus..my phone rung in my pocket. I leaned up and pulled it out. A facetime from Aron. We have really been pushing for our friendship to work and have been letting it work. Ever since a few weeks back when he told me about his ragedy ass father..I felt for him in that moment..however, social media shows me he is enjoying Paris alot.
"YO!" I answered.
"Its been 56 hours since you read my message and didnt reply. Why is that?" Aron asked.
"Umm, because I was busy. Plus, Yeah ends a conversation in my book. And isnt your nigga getting there in like 2 days time. You shouldnt be worried about what im doing." I clocked him. He gasped, "Messy, but he actually gets here in a day and half. And I cant wait for that moment so I can leave you on read for 56 hours."
"And get your fuck ass slapped. I dont play those ignoring games, Rose" I told him as I checked my review mirror and seen a black car tailing me. I made a sharp left as I continued, "Wassup, though?"
"Nothing just finish brunch and laying in bed and decided to call you. Whats your plans for tonight?" He asked.
"The Commune Pool Party. Hara hosting." I told him.
"Cool. Cool. Welp, Ill let you go. Txt me back, fathead!" He told me as he hung up. I pulled up to the light and the black car rode up on the side of me and went and grabbed at my gun as I spotted their window roll down. I then rolled my passenger window down and a black guy with shades exhaled, "Pull over. I am the director of the FBI field office here in Chicago. We need to have a chat."
"I have no business in relation to an FBI Agent. You sure you wanna chat with me?" I asked him as he licked his lips before nodding for me to follow him. Moments later, we pulled into an alley and I hopped out. He stepped out of his car in a suit with those cheap ass Loafers on.
"The FBI Director must have good credit..why you walking around here with these bad ass shoes on ya' feet." I stated as he slapped a manilla folder down on the trunk of his car and chuckled, "You have more pressing matters than my style."
"Or lack there of, but please explain how can I help you?" I asked him. He flipped open the manilla folder and showed me three dead bodies from the morgue.
"Look Ink, Cordell, Mister Spacey whatever you are going by today...I have three open cases in relations to your organization. I dont have proof but I know for a fact that you killed Jade at that wedding. Now these two are recent bodies we found floating in Lake Pasa down North. One is the nephew of Jade, Sun, worker of his since his teenage years. And the other is why I am taking this case under my wing and have put together a team of Agents to bring you and your boss and yall gang of thugs down." I stared down at Frank lifeless body and then back at the director.
