Hi! It's me! Percy!

A lot has changed since we last spoke

It's been a year since the whole... Coronation Incident

I was fitting in nicely I suppose

I looked around the grounds as I walked, looking for my sister.

When I found her, I smiled. She had changed a lot since last year. Her once purple hair was now blonde with purple tips. Both of us changed a lot.

My once short brunette hair reached past my shoulders and almost to my hips. It had red violet tips that I liked a lot. I usually kept it in a ponytail. Thanks to Ben, my self confidence grew more. My once very shy self had blossomed into a new better me. And I was happy for it.

"Hey Mal" I said happily, I went to hug her

But we were interrupted by many people with microphones and cameras came to us.

"Mal! Percy! We have questions!" a bunch of them shouted

"Mal! How are you liking being blonde?"

"Percy! Only three days to the Royal Cotillion! Ever think a girl like you would be a Lady of the Court??"

"Oh um-" I started

"What's it like to be the most envied girls in Auradon?"

"Is your mother still a lizard??"

They stepped closer. I took Mal's hand and backed up a few paces. My heart hammered in my chest. Okay maybe I wasn't that confident yet. I saw Mal's eyes glow green for a moment.

"Okay. Alright, excuse me" a familiar voice said as Ben pushed through the crowd.

"Ben.." I breathed in relief

"We will let you know if that particular situation changes" Ben said to the reporters as he wrapped an arm around my waist

"Ben! Did you ever think you'd be with a Villain Kid?" One of the reporters said

"She's not-" Ben sighed, "We're done here"

Fairy Godmother pushed her way through the crowd.

"Okay. Shush shush!" She said, "This is still a school so if you're here you're either skipping or trespassing"

"Just one quick question-" a reporter said

"Shush!" FG said quickly

"Thanks" Ben said to the reporters as they left, being shooed by FG. He turned to me, "You okay?"

"Just a small heart attack... Other than that.." I said with a small laugh, "I'm glad you're here"

"I'm good too... Thanks" Mal said, raising her hand

Ben chuckled "Nice to see you Mal"

FG came back

"Ben, Mal, Percy" she said in a greeting sort of way

"Fairy Godmother" we said together

FG walked off and I looked up at Ben

"Don't worry about them okay?" He said with a smile

"That's a lot easier said than done" Mal said softly. Ben looked at her and sighed

"I'm sorry Mal" he said

She shrugged

He turned his attention back to me

"We should do something. We should go somewhere. Get away" he said with a smile

"Yeah" I said with a smile

"You know, what do-" he stopped talking as something suddenly dawned on him, "I have a council meeting... I'm so late!"

"That's okay" I said

"We'll do it sometime um.." Ben said, thinking.

Evie appeared at my side

"If we don't do a fitting for your gown right this minute, you'll be attending the Cotillion in your bathrobe" she said to me, she looked at Ben, "Hi! Let's go"

She began dragging me away, Mal trailing after us

"Bye Ben!!" I said quickly

"Bye!" Ben said with a slightly confused face

As we left, I laughed a little as I saw a still confused Ben being bombarded by reporters

~Later~

I stood on a pedestal, wearing a floor length dress. I shifted my weight

"Evie... I can't... Breathe!" I said

"You can breathe after Cotillion" Evie said

"Hardly" Mal said

"Yeah. I have at least 20 events afterward and I can't even remember a single one of them" I said softly, shifting again

Mal looked up from the book she was reading

"Crap! I have a test tomorrow!" She said, grabbing two books, her spell book and a school book.

I watched her as she skimmed the spell book. Then she sighed

"Do you ever wonder what we'd be doing if we were back on the Isle right now?" She asked weakly.

"That's funny" Evie said. She looked up as the news came on, "Oh! Look who's on TV"

I looked at the screen to see what had just happened. Mal and I being mobbed by people

It switched to a scene of Ben and me with Aladdin and Jasmine.

"As the royal couple continue their tour of the kingdom, they dined with Aladdin and Jasmine just months ago.." the TV reporter said

I sighed

"No one thought that Ben and his girlfriend from the wrong side of the bridge would last"

"That's assuring.." I mumbled

"Percy must be counting the days until the Royal Cotillion where she will officially become a Lady of the Court"

"Can't wait" I mumbled

"Yeah well lucky you" Mal said, "Read it fast at lightning speed. Remember everything I need"

She swiped her finger above the book and flipped through it quickly.

"I know Mal's secret to fitting in" I said, sitting next to her, "And I don't think anyone would like it very much"

"Please Perce... You remember how I was before I started using my spell book... I was a disaster around here" she said, looking at me

"Well personally, as your best friend, I strongly believe that spell book belongs in the museum with my mirror" Evie said, taking the book from her, Mal gave her a face "Put the pout away, you know we're right"

"You guys don't ever miss running wild and breaking the rules?" Mal asked

"Well I never did that..." I said

"Well I know you didn't but E?"

"Like stealing and fighting?" Evie asked

"Yeah!" Mal said

"No" Evie replied

"Why would we Mal? We're in Auradon! We're Auradon girls now!" I said, hugging her

"Since Percy, and her sister Mal, revealed their love for strawberries, they've received of cartons from Percy's admirers" the TV said

"Oh! I want one!" I said happily

Evie laughed

"See? Look how happy we can be here" Evie said as I grabbed two strawberries. I handed one to Mal.

Evie picked up my Cotillion shoes

"Besides, look at these shoes." She said with a grin

"Killer.." Mal said, rolling her eyes
