I walked with the VKs through the school yard, my arm hooked with Mal's.

Jay was flirting with every girl he passed. Carlos talk to him about it.

I sighed as I looked around.

I rolled my eyes. Jay hadn't changed much either. He'd gotten over his crush on me and was just chasing around any girl he could.

"Percy! There you are!" Jane's voice burst through my thoughts

"Hey! Jane! Hi!" Carlos said. I smiled softly, he had a school boy crush on Jane

"Hi Carlos" Jane said then she looked at me, "I hate to keep bugging you but the decorating committee still needs more answers"

"Okay" I said

"We could do pen toppers which I love, or we could do chains, key charms-" I kind of zoned out on the rest of what she said

Beside me, Mal's eyes flashed green.

I bit my lip and looked at Jane "Let's just go with the Pen toppers"

She nodded and smiled "Okay!"

"Man! I can't wait to see what your wedding will look like!" Lonnie said as she walked up

"Yeah... Wait what?!" I looked at her in shock

"Yeah what?" Mal asked

"The Royal Cotillion is like getting engaged to be engaged to be engaged" Jane explained

"I knew it!" Evie said

"Well everyone knows it" Lonnie said

"I didn't!" I said as my breaths quickened.

"Uh yeah me either" Mal said

"How come nobody told me that?? Is like my entire life just planned out of me-" I started but yelped as I was interrupted

"Hey Percy" Ben said

Evie, Lonnie, and Jane grinned "Hi Ben!" They said

"Oh! Quick moment!" Jane said, pulling Ben aside

I hyperventilated slightly as I tried to process everything that just happened.

"Hey hey. Calm down, count to ten" Mal said, setting her hands on my shoulders.

I nodded, taking deep breaths as I counted, calming down.

Ben looked back at me as he talked to Jane.

I waved at him and he smiled and waved back as Mal and I walked off.

I sighed. "What else have I not been told...?" I asked

"I don't know." Mal said, "seems a bit much"

I nodded

"I wonder what would be happening if we were back on the Isle.." Mal mumbled

"Mal... Are you alright? I mean you've been pretty distant lately.." I said softly

"Yeah... Yeah I'm okay... I guess I'm just... Not doing as well as you are here.." She said

I hugged her "You'll be fine. I have to go" I said, rushing off.
