PETER'S P.O.V.

Finally, I was done with the project. As I went on to tell Katherine about it, I realised that she was asleep.

Never in my life had I seen a girl more beautiful. She looked so peaceful while sleeping. I got her a cozy blanket and made sure that I didn't disturb her. I laid down on the other couch.

"Good night, Princess." I murmured under my breath.

KATHERINE'S P.O.V.

The next morning when I woke up, I had absolutely no idea what was going on or what had happened.

Soon I realised that I was at Peter's house and had fallen asleep on the couch the night before.

"PETER!"

While he tried to open his eyes, the Greek God all along now seemed like a chipmunk to me. It was his luck that I didn't kill him.

"What?!" he asked with a confused look on his face.

"Why didn't you wake me up last night?"

"Huh?"

"My parents would be freaking out!"

"No, your mom called last night. I told her that you had fallen asleep and she said it was okay if you stayed here for the night."

"What? She said it was okay?" I was shocked.

"Yeah. Why?"

"Because she has never let me sleep over at a boy's house before. This means that she trusts you. That huge! ...and unlikely."

He chuckled.

"Come on, now. Get up! We're gonna be late for school." I said.

Peter offered to drive me back home. I declined as I already had my car.

As soon as I reached home, I practically sprinted into my bathroom. That was the fastest shower I've ever had, indeed.

Later, Jules and I drove to the school as usual. I told her about the previous night as she freaked out.

School was pretty much normal now. Jules and I would hang out and sometimes Peter, Kent and Kevin tagged along. They were quite nice once we got to know them. It was funny to watch Jules blush whenever Kent said something to her.

Talking of Britney, she would never miss a chance of talking shit about me. But honestly, I couldn't care less.

Everything was just fine until one day, I got a call. Abigail's call.

It was the break and all of us were sitting in the cafeteria, sipping off iced teas and colas. I picked up the phone.

"What do you want now, Abigail?"

"K... Kat..."

She was practically sobbing.

"What happened?"

"Ryan passed away last night. He's dead, Kat!"

"What? Oh my god!"

Those were the last words that came out of my mouth before I hung up and tears started to roll down my cheeks.

"Katherine, what happened? Are you okay?"
Peter asked, concern gleaming in his eyes.

I looked at Jules, tears blurring my vision.

"He's no more, Jules. Ryan Adams is dead."

Jules stood up from her chair and pulled me into a hug. I wish I felt better. My sobbing wet her shirt.

PETER'S P.O.V.

I couldn't understand what was going on. Who was Ryan? I was about to say something when Juliet gave me an I'll-tell-you-later-so-shut-your-face-right-now look.

I had never seen Katherine cry before. I was worried for her. I wondered who made her cry.
