KATHERINE'S  P.O.V.

Peter talked to my mom. Apparently, she had no problem if I went to the party, provided Peter was there with me. ' I trust Peter.' she said and I quote.

The following evening, Peter called.

"You ready?" he asked.

"Yeah, almost."

"Okay, I'm gonna come pick you up in ten."

"Great."

After hanging up, I looked at myself in the mirror. I was wearing a black dress which came up to just above my knees. It was tight up till my waist and then frilled outwards. There was a lace on it. I loved it. I had some light foundation on, which I topped off with a nude lipstick and mascara.

I reckoned that Peter must have arrived, so I went downstairs.

Jules wasn't coming because she was busy and so was Kevin. So basically, it was just me, Peter and Kent.

Once the three of us reached the address, we entered the house. It was huge. The party was in full swing. By that I mean drinking, dancing and kissing — all around. Kent pulled me and Peter on the dance floor and started dancing like crazy. Peter looked at me and we started laughing. The three of us were dancing, when a random guy came up to me.

"Hey, girl. I'm Bryce." he smirked.

"Hey?" I gave him a confused look. I didn't exactly know him.

He pulled me by my arm.

"Dance with me." he said.

"No, thanks." I said, trying to pull my hand away.

His grip tightened.

"Let go of me!" I said, gritting my teeth, now bolder.

I was trying to push him away, when Peter came in between us.

"Hey, dude. What's the problem? You want something?" Bryce asked.

"Yeah. Your hand. Let go of her or else you'll not have a hand anymore." Peter growled.

"Okay, okay. Chill, man." he said. The colour of his face changed.

Peter gave him a stern expression and after a little hesitation, he backed off.

PETER'S P.O.V.

"Hey, chill. I've never seen you so angry, Peter." Kat said.

I looked at her and all my anger melted away. I smiled.

"Let's go get a drink." I said.

"Yeah."

We went up to the bar.

"A round of tequila, please." she said.

Wow, I wasn't expecting her to go hard.

"Kat, slow down. You're still a child." I smirked.

"Hey! My birthday was literally a week ago. I'm officially 18 and allowed to drink." she pouted.

"You really look like a kid though." Kent said while walking up to the bar.

"You two need to shut up." she said, rolling her eyes.

The three of us sat near the bar for a considerable amount of time. Kat was totally drunk and was acting like a crazy monkey. Kent got a call and he said he had to leave because the time was past his curfew.

"Kat, we should go home. You're drunk." I said.

I had to get a hold of her shoulders or else she would've definitely stumbled.

"No! I wanna stay!" she whined like a child.

"Okay, alright. We'll stay for half an hour more and then we're leaving. Deal?"

"Deeeeeal!" she sang.

She was already semi-dancing on the bar chair when she suddenly stood up.

"Let's dance!" she said.

"Ugh, we just danced for an hour straight."

"But I wanna dance more!"

"Okay, how 'bout this? You go ahead, and I'll join you in ten."

"Okayyyy." she said as she moved towards the dance floor.

KATHERINE'S  P.O.V.

I went on the dance floor and started dancing and jumping like an idiot. I saw Bryce walking up to me.

"Hey. Where's that friend of yours?" he asked.

I assumed that he was talking about Peter, but I was too drunk to talk properly.

PETER'S  P.O.V.

Ten minutes later, I scanned the dance floor but Kat was nowhere to be found. I got up and started looking for her. I searched the entire place but couldn't find her. I was trying to figure out where she could've gone, when realisation hit me like a rock.

I clenched my fists. My jaw tightened.

"Bryce." I snarled.
