Ch 36: Wolf of Secrets

(Unknown's POV)

As the group of friends went down the stairs they saw the library that I had hidden the rest of their books at, "How is there a library in here?" Mitch asked as they walked around looking at the books, "That's not what's weird about this place, what's weird about it is the books." Preston said looking at Mitch while everyone one else was looking through the books.

"What's weird about the books?" Mitch asked confused, Preston went and got a book and opened it and started reading out loud it was a random book and it wasn't one of their books, "As the mighty prince dragon flew through the air it's rider a knight was one of the best on dragon back especially with a sword." Preston said saying it word for word.

Preston put the book back and walked along the books and grabbed another one opened it up to a random page and started reading again, "As the battle kept going one Leon kept going with his powers weak but still strong at the same time." Preston read putting the book back.

By this time everyone was listening to Preston, without noticing Preston had picked up another book and was reading out of it, "As Preston in his wolf form ran Leon right behind following with ease, and the others were behind Leon but weren't close enough to notice Leon." Preston read.

"As soon as they reached a clearing Preston turned around to face Leon but didn't notice Leon's group in the bushes waiting and watching." Preston read right before putting the book back, everyone was silent while Preston walked back towards Mitch and stood beside him.

"I guess I'll have to watch over you all." I said out loud for them to hear I saw fear easily wash over everyone on as they regrouped walking out of the shadows I felt my pelt brush up against the book cases and I could smell fear radiating from them as I walked towards them.

(Mitch's POV)

As a large silver wolf with several white, black, and dusty brown markings along his body, legs, tail, and head, walked up to us his eyes were a gradient of red, orange, and yellow, I felt afraid of this wolf his muscled were very visible through his fur which was long.

The wolf stopped coming towards us when it got about a few feet away from us, "Who are you?" Preston asked taking a step forwards, "Strange that you don't know since I've been watching you all for a long time.....a long long time." The wolf growled.

The information didn't seem to affect Preston at all, "I've been there since the start, the wither attack, the lake, the battle, everything you all did I saw." The wolf growled triumphantly, and I've written every single detail is these books all the information, I watched Ryan back then, I know of everyone dreams." The wolf said sitting down.

Suddenly Preston froze up like this news had finally got to him, "Every?" Preston asked quietly but still loud enough for everyone to hear, "Yep every. Single. Dream" The wolf said slowly right before getting up and started to pace back and fourth.

"I know of every desire, even the ones I don't want to know, every moment you shared with everyone and even personal details." The wolf said pulling his ears back "Then you would know-" Connor said getting cut off by the wolf.

"Yep I know about that." the wolf said still pacing, I saw Preston look towards the ground a bit of guilt clear in his eyes, "I also know about things that some of you would just love to hear." the wolf taunted looking at Preston.

"Like what?" Rob asked curious at what Preston was hiding, "Like why this all started, how the power crystals were formed, and things like where loyalties lie." The wolf said looking at Preston like he was hiding all of this.

"Wait you know how the power crystals formed?" Preston asked in a confused tone, "Yep and we both know something only Vikk, Connor, and Leon would know except for one person who is now dead and gone." the wolf said circling Preston who watching him carefully.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked looking at Preston, "do I have to tell them?" The wolf asked looking at Preston and then Connor, I saw Preston look at the wolf confused at why he was looking at Connor.

"Nope, but lets just say I killed Frost." Connor said making sure everyone heard him, I felt unease sweep through everyone except for Andi who looked like she was fine with the information, "I'm not going to make you say anything I know what you can do." The wolf said to Preston with a bit of fear.

"What do you mean by that?" Preston asked, "I've seen your powers in action, you're ancestor would be disappointed in you, against him you would lose." The wolf said his tail twitching as he talked.

"Talking about that, I think it's time for your second trials and this time it won't be easy and we won't send Mitch to the portal room." The wolf said looking at me. "And this time we won't pin ya against your animals but you're ancestors beat them five times and you are free to go." The wolf said triumphantly.

"Wait right now?" Vikk asked hiding behind Lachlan, "Of course not, tomorrow yes but you all need to get some sleep before going, but we'll give you some time with your ancestors before going." the wolf said not taking his eyes off of Preston.

"And if you need me I'll be on this floor in my den, just call for me." The wolf said turning around and walked towards a hole in the wall, we watched as he disappeared into the hole that faded away to show the wall.

Looking at Preston I wondered what the wolf was talking about when he said that he knew what Preston could do, "Hey Preston what did he mean by what you can do." I asked curious, "I don't know." Preston said looking at me his eyes filled with confusion.

"Can we go to sleep now I'm tired!" Vikk whined in a sleepy tone, "Yeah luckily that this library thing is the only thing I saw off about this place." Preston said to Vikk who was still behind Lachlan.
