"You'll find out soon enough Darlin'"

An incessant buzz numbs Rose's mind, her body dropping into Gatsby like dead weight, the strength to keep herself up diminishing the longer she spent standing, arms wrapping tightly around his neck, her eyes dance under her eyelids, a warm sigh tumbling from her dry lips. Gatsby held her just as close, his arms securely around her waist, resting just above her hips. He desired to never leave her warmth, her hold, her tenderness, his head stuffed into her smooth exposed neck, something that hadn't been bruised in a long time, the desire bled through him, his lips parting gently.

Nick clears his throat from behind the star crossed lovers, his eyebrows falling inwards, his lips pursing thinly, confusion flutters through mind, a uncomfortable feeling lodging in his gut. Rose and Gatsby still, muscles tensing gently, a breath catching in their throats. Rose opens her eyes slowly, her eyelashes separating with drying tears, a pinkish rim lining her eyes, finding her brother, she takes her head out of Gatsby's warmth, mouthing 'I'll explain later'. Nick scowls for a moment, until his eyes soften, seeing the love she held in her eyes, folding his arms tightly across his chest, he spins around swiftly, walking out of the room, heavy footed.

"You smell like Lilies of the Valley" Rose whispers hoarsely, "And Roses" She adds, shifting in her lover's warm embrace, Rose pulls herself back reluctantly, gliding her delicate hands up and across his sparkling white suited shoulders, he'd freshly changed into upon leaving the windows in his home, closing her hands around the back of his neck, her fingers softly making their way up to his cheeks, resting her palms on his blushing face.

"Why?" She whispers, inhaling gently, the smell causing the tension in her body to relax. Her reflective eyes locking on his wistful blue orbs, tilting her head to the side gently, gazing up at him.

"You'll find out soon enough Darlin'" He whispers softly, bringing his face down, so there wasn't much distance between the both of them, his left hand lifting from its home on her hip, softly trailing up her body, pushing locks of raven hair behind Rose's ear. Rose giggles, shaking her head to remove it from its place, uncomfortable with where it resided. Gatsby chuckles as well, quietly as to not startle the magic encapsulating them, his eyes trail down her face, across her collar bone until he finds - once again, the necklace he had given to her, the one he spotted twinkling under the moon, only a few nights ago.

"You still wear it" He whispers to her fondly, picking it up gently between his soft thumb and index finger, caressing it like it was fragile glass, ready to break with one wrong touch, though he wasn't shocked to see her wearing the necklace, he was almost undoubtedly sure she would have ditched it a long time ago.

"I do!" Rose giggles, gazing up at him, watching as he admires the token he had once given her. Gatsby freezes momentarily, bliss soaring through his body, his eyes immediately taken with hers, it seemed she didn't realise the effect of her words.
