Madelynn turned on her phone to record herself in the janitors closet. "Um, my battery is almost out, so I'm making this message for my mom and dad and Nona if you find this first, which you always do. It's been three days. We're still trapped in the school. There's no sign of help. We don't know who's out there. We haven't made any contact with anyone yet. We're doing our best, but I don't know how long we can last. Dad, I wish we spent more time together. Some of that was on me. And Mom, what can I say? I guess I'm a disappointment. I'm only human, all humans make mistakes." Madelynn panned the camera down to her belly and pulled her shirt tight on her belly. "Teen pregnancy when the world is ending. Can't think of a better scenario." Madelynn ended the recording.
Meanwhile...
Willow grabbed a pocket knife out from her back pocket and slowly turned around the corner. She saw Oscar's torn up body but nothing else. "Where is she?" Willow asked.
"She must have ran," Zora replied.
"Okay, you look down the left and I'll look for her on the right," Willow demanded. Willow started walking down the vacant hallway with her pocket knife held in front of her. She went into one of the classrooms. She looked to the right then she felt a heavy force grab her on her shoulder from behind. She turned around swiftly to see that it was Nelson. Nelson quickly ducked down so Willow wouldn't cut him.
"Shit Willow!" Nelson shouted. "I thought you were that what was that?"
"It was Brooke, she's turned. Come on we need to go." Willow and Nelson ran out of the classroom to try and find everyone else.
"Everyone grab a weapon," Jason demanded. He had an array of weapons laid out in front of him.
"So she should be at the north stairs?" Madelynn asked.
"Yeah " Zora replied.
"She could either be one flight up or two flights down," Isabella commented.
"Shit! She could be anywhere." Violet said while taking a weapon from Jason.
"There's only nine of us here. We're missing one." Peter said. Willow and Zora hesitated to answer.
"Oscar! Oscar missing." Taylor said.
"Where is he?" Madelynn asked.
"We can't worry about it now. If any of us see him just inform him of what's going on." Willow said.
"Okay, guys! Let's split up and look for Brooke." Jason demanded. "Everyone be careful." Willow and Nelson walk into the cafeteria.
"Looks clear," Nelson said.
"I can't trust Zora. Not anymore. She cares too much." Willow said.
"Isn't that why we should trust her?" Nelson asked.
"Don't go all soft on me."
"You don't know me."
"I know enough. I know your not a saint."
"What is that supposed to mean." Willow and Nelson heard a loud boom.
"Okay, stay close," Nelson told Willow.
"Who's saving who?" Willow asked.
"It's saving whom." Willow ignored his smart remark. They both walked out of the cafeteria into the hallway to investigate the noise. Jason came around the corner, almost stabbing Nelson with his wooden spear.
"I'm sorry." Jason apologized. "I didn't know it was you guys."
"Any sign of her?" Willow asked.
