Blakes pov

I spent third period reading and fourth period talking to ruby with my actual voice wich hurt after not using it for so long but it subsided then i went to my moms car "how was your day sweetie" she asks "it was great" i say shyly making her gasp "you spoke" she says almost crying "im sorry it took so long" i say "lets go home you can explain there" she says "ok" i say and we drive home where mom goes to dad "ghira come out here" she says "what's the matter" dad asks "nothing much" i say and he freezes "you're talking again" he says "yeah" i say "what caused this" he asks and i explain what happened with cardin and ruby "after what she did i had to thank her with my voice" i say "i would like to meet ruby" mom says "i can ask her to come over this weekend but she might not say yes" i say "that works i would like to thank her" dad says "alright I'll ask her at school tommorow" i say and mom hugs me "im so glad i can hear your voice again" she says "me to" i say

The next day of school i find ruby "hey ruby" i say "hello blake" she says "can i ask you something" i say "yeah go ahead" she says "well can you come to my house this weekend my parents want to thank you" i say "thank me for what" she asks "for me talking again" i say "oh but i was just doing what anyone else would do" i say "still they want to thank you" i say "alright ill ask my parents but they should say yes" she says "alright i look forward to it" i say "so do i" she says "ruby you forgot your bag in the car" the girl named yang says handing ruby a bag "thanks yang" ruby says then yang looks to me "hello" i say shyly and she looks surprised "you can talk" she asks and ruby punches her arm "don't be rude" she says "sorry i just wasn't sure you could anymore" she says "that's understandable" i say "what made you decide to talk again" she asks "ruby" i say "man she's been here three days and she already got a kid expelled and got you to talk that's crazy" she says "well we should get to class don't want to get in trouble" ruby says "yeah i guess you're right" yang says and we head to class

Friday rolls around and me and ruby walk out of class "my mom should be parked out front" i say "im kinda nervous" she says "don't be my parents wouldn't hurt a fly" i say "alright" she says and we get in the car "hello you must be ruby" mom says "yes that's me" she says "well thank you for helping blake" mom says "anyone would have done the same" ruby says "yeah but you're the one who did it" mom says "im not the one who called the teacher over though" she says "who did" i ask "weiss did" she says "really weiss i never expected that" i say "i sit next to her during third" she says "oh that makes more sense" i say "we're here" mom says pulling up to the house and we get out walking in the house seeing dad sitting on the couch watching tv "we're back" mom says to him and he looks over "oh im guessing that's ruby" he says "yeah that's me" ruby says and dad steps over "thank you for helping my daughter" he says "it was my pleasure" ruby says "so how did you two meet" mom asks "well she was the only one not sitting next to someone so i sat next to her and pretty much forced friendship on her" ruby says "i like your style" dad says "thank you" ruby says "so ruby why did you want to be friends with blake" mom asks "she looked cute" ruby says embarrassed "finally someone realized how cute my little baby is" mom says making ruby laugh "mom that's embarrassing stop it" i say "fine I'll be in my room if you need me" she says walking off "so do you want to go to my room or something" i ask "ooh i get to see your room" she says "don't make it a big deal" i say and we go to my room "aw you put up the picture" ruby says happily "it was the nicest thing someone has done for me in a long time so i wanted to keep it" i say "well i think you like it because its a picture of you" ruby says jokingly "that's bonus points but i mostly like it because you gave it to me" i say "you're to nice im gonna get an ego" she says "isn't someone else supposed to say that" i ask "yeah but there's only two of us here right now" she says "alright i guess you have a point" i say "yeah so what should we do" she asks "well we could watch a movie play some games what ever you want really" i say "lets play some games then" she says and we get out the game and start playing

"yes i win again" ruby says "oh come on that character is so overpowered" i say "girls i made dinner" mom says "oh sweet im really hungry" ruby says "me to" i say and we go downstairs for dinner "what did you make" i ask "i made some fish i hope that's ok" mom says "i love fish" ruby says "oh good i was worried" mom says "yeah im not picky ill eat almost anything" ruby says "even people" i ask jokingly "i don't know let me try" she says grabbing my hand and gently biting on it "don't eat blake her food will go to waste" mom says "that's what you care about" i say faking anger "yes fish smells bad when its rotten" she says and ruby laughs as we sit at the table "its good to see you are such good friends i was worried we would have another adam situation on our hands" dad says "dad" i yell "did you not tell her" mom asks "no i didn't" i say "what's happening tell me what" ruby asks "can we tell her" mom asks "yeah" i say "alright so when blake was in middle school she had a friend named adam and they were best of buddies but during Blake's first year of high school adam joined a terrible gang and tried recruiting blake into it and when she said no adam began telling everybody Blake's secrets and blake was bullied to the point we had to move and blake didn't talk after that" mom explains and ruby looks pissed off "that little twit" ruby says angry "oh sorry about that" she says "no im glad you agree with us" dad says "yes its good to see that you care this much for her" mom says "even though i don't know her well i can tell she is a good person and good people deserve to be happy" she says making me blush a bit "ruby are you and my daughter together" dad asks making both of us turn red "no we are just friends" i say embarrassed "alright my mistake" dad says "well it's getting late we should take ruby home before it gets to dark" mom says and we look out the window "i guess you're right" i say "well you are always welcome to come back" dad says to ruby "thank you i will" she says and we get in the car to take ruby home
