Nicki POV
Jolting out of my slumber, to hear my phone ringing. Groaning and searching for my phone. Finally finding it, I pushed my phone against my ear.
"Hello?" I said groggily.
"Miss him?" The deep voice said
Very confused, I answered "Who is this?"
"Don't worry your pretty little head about that. You miss August, right?" He said.
"Why?"
"Bitch just answer the question," He barked.
As I was going to answer. I heard a scream
"Hear that? It's his fresh burning," He replied
I screamed, "Dont hurt him!"
"Then do exactly as I say"
"What do you want?"
"A plane will pick you up tonight, you will come and try to save your little boyfriend."
"I can't fly, I'm too far along."
"Too bad. Either you go on the plane or he dies."
Tears left my eyes as the line went dead on the other side. I slowly got up from bed and dragged myself into the kitchen.
"Why you up so early?" A voice asked.
I jumped and turned around.
"Chris! You scared me bro," I yelled while punching his shoulder
"Why was you crying?"
"I have to take a plane tonight or August is gonna die but im too far along and I don't wanna risk the babies"
He stared in my eyes and gave me a hug
"Get your stuff, we are going for a ride," he said.
"Where we going?"
"Just get ready"
I walked upstairs and packed a small bag.
Mya POV
Chris walked back in the room and looked surprised when he saw me awake.
"Hey baby," he walked over and kissed my lips
"Do you have a thing for Nicki?" I blurted out
"No!" He yelled.
"Dont lie to me Chris."
"Baby, she's like a little sister to me, she's pregnant with my homie's baby."
"If you don't want me anymore! Just say so!" Tears left my eyes
He wiped my tears, "Baby of course I want you. Your my everything."
"Stop lying! You have someone else!" I yelled.
"Baby-"
"Do you think i'm stupid!? You got another bitch!"
"Mya, you can go through my phone bro. I have no girls"
He handed me his phone but I chucked it at the wall. Causing it to break into pieces. His face changed. He wasn't sweet Chris anymore.
"What the fuck is your problem?!" he yelled
"You fucking other bitches is my problem!" I yelled.
"Im not fucking anyone! I'm only with you! All I want is you! You didn't have throw my fucking phone!" He started getting closer.
"Don't get any closer" I put my hand on his chest
"Nah, don't fucking accuse me of that shit again!" I ran out the room and left the house. I felt like I was going crazy. I don't know why I accused him like that. I walked to the park and saw him.
August POV
There she was. My little sister. She ran towards me and I engulfed her in a huge bear hug. Once she pulled away she punched me
"What are you doing here?!" Mya yelled.
"I finally came back. I can't wait to see Nicki!"
"Come on, let's go see her!" She dragged me all the way back home. We walked inside and my stomach churned.
"Maybe we should call her phone," I said
As I finished my sentence, a scream echoed throughout the apartment. Mya bolted upstairs and I followed. Mya kicks open the door and it goes flying. My eyes searched the room until it landed on my former boss. I charged at him as Mya helped Nicki out the door. I had him on the floor, already with a bloody eye. I started choking him until I saw his face turn dark purple. I let him go and his eyelids drooped. I tiredly got up and stared at the person I once called my father. He taught me the ways of the streets. I walked out the house as I got a phone call.
"Hello?" I said.
"Get your ass to the hospital! Nicki's in labor!" Trey yelled through the phone. Immediately, hanging up and catching the nearest taxi.
"Take me to Lenox Hill Hospital!" I yelled.
The taxi man stepped on the accelerator and drove past cars until sirens filled my ears. The taxi pulled over and I paid him and hopped out the car. Going full speed, I was inside the hospital in 3 minutes. Speeding past doctors and nurses. I made it to the room.
"August!" She yelled while gripping Mya's hand. I walked over and kissed her forehead.
"You can do this babe" I firmly said.
