y'all may not believe me but i've been working on this chapter for over a year and it's still not perfect 🙃😭.

I exited my car and headed towards the entrance of Lenox.

Entering into MAC I headed over to the array of lipsticks and picked up the shade of red I saw online. I wanted to be in and out of there before I started spending unnecessary money. I preferred to do online shopping anyway.

"Hello, is that it for you?" Placing the lipstick on the counter I remembered I was running out of setting spray.

"No can I have the Fix Plus Setting Spray? The full sized one."

"Sure one second for me." I looked around taking in my surroundings, a habit adopted a while ago. I'd rather be safe then sorry.

"Cash or Debit?" Digging into my wallet I pulled out my debit card and paid for both my items. After I received my bag, I made my way out of the store.

"Hey, can you help me out please?" I felt someone grab my arm before I could leave. Rolling my eyes I turned to see this light skin dude with freckles peering down at me.

"Can I help you?" I shifted my weight to my right leg.

"Yeah, um I wanted to get my girl something for her birthday. I didn't know where to start."

"Well maybe you should try Sephora, they have a wider selection." He looked a bit confused, probably didn't know what I was talking about.

"It's another makeup store in here, I'm sure someone would be able to help you." I began walking away, his vibe was off and I didn't have time to find out why.

"Aight thank you Aaliyah." I heard him call out to me. I stopped in my tracks and realized I never gave him my name, turning back around he was no where to be found. Picking up my pace, I basically ran out of there.

I wanted to stop for some cinnamon nuggets from Auntie Anne's but hell no.

"Baby, do you have lemons at home?" I snuggled into him some more as he pushed the cart ahead of us. We were in Walmart getting groceries for dinner tonight.

"Nah, you need some?" I nodded, I was making Lemon Parmesan Salmon and Asparagus with Yellow Rice.

"Aight, let me get these yogurts and we could head ova thea."

"Mhmkay.." Davie held up the strawberry cheesecake flavor for me to approve and I nodded. I felt someone burning a hole in the side of my face. Locking my phone, I noticed it was some girl, she was standing next to an older lady. The older woman seemed to be minding her business. I decided to ignore her, she seemed way too interested in what my man & I had going on.

I looked to see David still deciding on which other flavors to get. He'd eat an entire six pack of these a day if I'd let him.

"Baby.." Giggling, I got two of each flavors.

"This why I need you ta' come grocery shopping wit me." He kissed me on the lips briefly. As we pulled away I noticed the two women from earlier making their way over to us. I sighed a bit, I really didn't feel like gettin hype in these peoples store.

"Hey David.." I blinked at ole girl and looked towards what looked to be her mother.

David greeted them both and bent down to hug the lady whose name I learned to be Mrs. Harris.
