I felt like I should've done more when it ended, so here it is. :))))))
Acknowledgments
I had a tremendous amount of fun while writing this fan-fiction. I remember writing it on my old account and flipping out when it was hacked and I thought I had lost the story. I remembered remembering that I saved everything on a slightly broken flash drive that I hoped to God would work (and it did!). I remember uploading it onto this account and changing the name every week because I didn't think it suited my OC. (That's why at some points in the first few poorly written chapters (which will eventually be in editing!!) Church is called many different names.
I had the good days where I was proud of myself for getting even eleven reads and one vote.
I even had the bad days where I felt like deleting it and never thinking about it again.
And yes, I was 98% close to deleting it when only eight chapters were up, but a fan messaged me and told me how she liked the story, and how she wanted to know when the next update is.
As I typed my first draft response ("I'm afraid there will be no more of this story, I just can't handle it anymore..."), I sat back and thought for a minute.
I put a lot of hard work in this work, and I was only eight chapters in, I can't delete it now! So I told her it was temporarily on hold, and in that exact moment when I sent her the massage, it pushed me to begin writing again.
I love it when you guys give feedback, it really motivates me. You can all thank mushyturle (think I spelt that right...??) for that (she got me to start working on the story when I was just about to abandon it, bless this girl!), and go follow her! And all you others who messages me, thank you!
In all honesty, I thought this work was really crappy. I wrote it all on my phone, so there were tons of mistakes in my writing. The sequel will be written on my computer and looked over thoroughly.
I felt a little selfish putting some OC's in here, since you all want a Cirque Du Freak story, and it's not my place to edit Darren Shan's writing. But this is a fan-fiction, and I do not own the series 'Cirque Du Freak', and so, I guess it's okay to put in a few and change it up.
I mean, that's what fan-fiction is, right?
The sequel will center a lot on Bishop, the nerdy, awkward, dark-haired, blue-eyed angel. (And yes, I based his looks and personality off of Castiel from Supernatural, but never mind that.) It still mainly centers Cameo, but more OC's are to come in the sequel.
I miss writing about Steve and Cameo's relationship. Oh, the tension between those two. (I'm so lame I create my own ships :|) I also miss Tommy and Alan, I always liked those two!! (SPOILERS: Rest in peace, Tommy.)
I guess, well, since I never intended this fan-fiction to be a Darren Shan love story or Steve Leopard/Leonard love story, that I never put anyone together. Sure, there's Cameo and Darren at the end of this story, but you'll see how they're relationship has changed in the sequel.
Also, the sequel will include Gavner Purl!
The sequel, I have to say, will be a bit interesting. Sequel release is set to be published November 10th. Six days away!!
Sequel to 'Cirque Du Freak: A Freak's Story'
[warning: sequel contains blood, abuse, death, a lot of crying, heartbreak, freak shaming, sexism, and homosexuality]

Chapter One: Stolen Sneak Peak
Bishop and I walk back to our tent together. It's still day time, with the sun shining, but a little cloudy; it was probably going to rain soon.
People begin to flood out of the big top in no time. Murmurs fill the air, with laughs and gasps and over-exaggerated reenactments of people's reactions whenever someone preformed.
A H !
I turn immediately, grabbing Bishop in a panic. "Why'd you hiss? What happened?"
"A man..." He makes out, holding his left palm in his hand. "He slashed me with a knife."
There was a deep cut on his palm. Crimson blood oozed out of the wound. "What a jerk, why'd... why'd he do that?" I begin to inspect the slash, licking my finger and wiping away the pooling blood. Not much helps.
"I don't know."
"Come on, I've got some bandages in the tent."

Note: the sequel takes place three years after Cameo joined the Cirque. She's older now, seventeen-years-old, and SOMETHING YOU REALLY, REALLY, REALLY NEED TO REMEMBER IS TAHT DARREN HAS NOT AGED YET, HE STILL LOOKS THIRTEEN AND LIKE A CUTIE PIE, OH MY BABY.
More sequel information to come!
