*NASHS POV*
I sit there, her arms in my hands, on the verge of tears.
"Nash I can explain." She says pulling her arms back.
"El how could you do that to yourself. I-i.."
I feel the tears start to spill out.
"My sister started and I just had to know why she did it. I thought maybe if I did it, it would help but it just started another problem. Now I'm just another teenage screwup who hurts herself."
She turns and runs downstairs. Before I can catch up to her, she runs into Shawn's room and locks the door.
Great.
I look at the clock. 20 minutes until we have to go get Grace, Isabella and Kelsie.
I lay down on the couch, covering my face with a pillow.
*EL'S POV*
I barge into Shawn's room, and he jumps and looks up at me from his bed.
"You scared the shit out of me!" He says laughing. But when he sees the tears streaming down my face, his expression softens.
"What's wrong Bri?"
"Don't call me that"
"Come here."
I walk over and sit next to him, holding out my arms.
He wraps his arms around me, humming the tune to one of his songs.
"Is he mad at you?"
I shrug my shoulders. Why did I do this to myself? Why can't I stop it?
"It will be ok El. The boys will help you get through this." Shawn says, standing up and pulling me with him.
"But that's the problem, I don't really want them to know." I say, looking down at my feet.
"Then me and Nash will help you. But right now, you need to go see your friends. Laughter is the best medicine."
I smile and hug him.
"Thanks Shawn!" I run out of the room and jump on the couch, bouncing around until Nash takes the pillow off his face.
I plop down on the cushion next to him. But when I see his face, my expression changes.
He has tears running down his face, his eyes, puffy.
He sits up and takes my hand.
"El. Please don't hurt yourself anymore. Please don't do it ever again. I can help you through this. I-" he chokes on his words, and I feel my tears spill out.
I climb into his lap, and wrap my arms around his neck. He holds me tightly, as if this is the last time he'll ever see me.
"Nash, it will be ok. The bigger deal this is, the more I'm gonna be sad. I promise I'm going to try my best to stay clean." I say, rubbing his back.
"And you'll always come to me if you need help right?" He mumbles into my neck.
I nod my head and pull back so I can look at him. I wipe the tears from under his eyes, and lightly kiss him on the cheek.
As I pull away, he grabs my chin and presses his lips to mine. He moves his tongue across my bottom lip, and I move my lips from his mouth to his neck.
"Tease" he groans.
I smile and pull away. I run my hand through his hair and give him another quick kiss before standing up.
"Where are you going?" He says, walking into the kitchen.
"Gonna get changed to go get my friends!" I yell, running up the stairs.
I hear Shawn yelling something about how I'm gonna wake up the whole neighborhood, but I just ignore it and walk into mine and Nashs room.
I slowly walk towards the closet, running my hands over his various items. Lacrosse trophies, plaques, books, his laptop.
I pause at one particular book. One with an unframed photo on it. I smile and pick it up.
It pictures Nash and Skylynn sitting on a swing, Skylynn in Nashs lap. Nash is looking in the other direction, completely ignoring Skylynn.
I run my fingers across the edges to find its folded. When I unfold it, I wish I hadn't.
I toss the photo onto the ground where I'm sure he'll see it, and walk into the bathroom to fix my makeup.
I sigh and look into the mirror. I'm not mad at him, I just want to know why he still has that picture. Or am I mad? I can't deal with this.
I finish my makeup, and walk out to put the picture back up. And I still would've put the picture up, except it wasn't on the floor. It was in Nashs hands.
"Nash, I'm sorry. I really don't want to start a fight, I was just kind of hurt you still had this picture."
He ripped it in half and threw it out the window. He walked over to me and took my hand, grabbing his keys on the way out.
"I honestly don't even know why I still have that. Had, that. I didn't even know it was in my room. Where did you find it?" He asks, opening the car door for me.
I smile at him and wait for him to clamber in the other side.
"I found it on top of a book by your shelf. It was folded so you couldn't see the girl. Who is that girl?"
He pulls out and starts the journey to the airport.
"Roses friend Angie. She was my first kiss."
"Oh." I look down at my lap, playing with my hands.
Next thing I know, the car stops and my chin is being lifted.
"But I would erase everything that's ever happened between me and any girl, just to be with you. I would delete my vine account to be with you."
He leans in for a kiss, and I put a finger on his lips, pushing him away.
"Road Grier." I say looking back to the street.
I catch him looking at me from the corner of my eye.
"Your such a suck up." I say, grabbing his hand.
***
"KELSIE, GRACE, ISABELLA!" I yell, running up to my friends, embracing them in a hug.
We talk for a bit, and get their luggage. Then it's headed back home again, to pack for the beach.
I'm so glad I get to spend time with my friends like this, especially Nash.
I walk in to the house and show them the guest room. Then I walk upstairs to mine and Nashs room, to find him shirtless, pantless, and laying on the ground.
I roll my eyes and step over him. He grabs my ankle, causing me to fall.
"Nash I swear-" he cuts me off by smashing his lips onto mine.
He really knows how to shut me up.
