Chapter Twenty Four

*EL'S POV*
A week has passed without word from Jasper. I should feel relieved but instead I'm more worried than ever. I get my cast taken off tomorrow and I'm too scared to ask about what happens next. Not with my arm but with my life.

Will Jasper leave me alone? Probably not. And I'm left on my own because I promised myself I wouldn't let Nash get hurt.

I decide I need a break, and call the people who I miss terribly.

"Hey Amber!" I say to the excited 5 year old on the other end of the phone.

"Hi Sissy! Guess what? Mommy and Daddy aren't fighting as much! I don't know why but they aren't!"

"That's great baby! Can I actually talk to Mommy maybe?"

"Yeah! Hold on!"

I smile and listen to the faint pitter patter of her small feet. There's a rustling sound and my moms voice sounds through the speaker.

"Hey baby! How is it in Cali?"

I tell her about all that's been happening, including the fact I hurt my arm but not mentioning Jasper.
"So how's life back in Arizona?" I question, being pulled into the kitchen by Nash.

"We're great, actually. But I do have some rather.. Unpleasant news."

"Go on." I say, waving Nash away.

"Your father and I are getting a divorce."

I sit there for a second. Then I hang up the phone and set it down calmly, walking up behind Nash, who was making eggs.

"My parents are getting a divorce." I say, running my hands across the fabric of his shirt. He turns around and frowns, pulling me into him.

"Im sorry baby." He says, frowning down at me for the 100th time in the last week. I sigh and wave it off, going and sitting in the living room with my book, which I stopped reading the day I met Nash. The couch dips down and Nash lays across my lap.

"Lets go eat food." He says, closing my book and looking up at me. I smile and allow him to pull me up.

"Eggs and hasbrowns and bacon and fruit." He says, smiling and putting the plate down in front of me.

"You know what?" I say, picking up a strawberry and putting it in his mouth.

"You love me?" he mumbles around his food.

"No. Well, yes but that's not what I wanted to tell you." I say, pinching his cheeks.

"You're cute." I say, laughing.

He starts laughing too and eventually we end up turning on the camera and filming a video.

"It's called coming out of the closet." I explain, watching his expression change between confused and creeped out.

"Basically we are gonna post it when we make our relationship public." I explain, pulling up two chairs.

"Oh ok. I thought you were suddenly turning lesbian." He says, laughing. I roll my eyes and tell him the plan.

And about an hour or two later, we had a decent, and actually really cute little couple video. We had come to terms to post the video on his channel next week.

He leans down and gives me a quick peck on the nose.

"Let's go over to Jack's place and hang out with everyone." He suggests, standing up and walking away. I shout back that I wanted to come, and ran up behind him to go get ready.

*AN HOUR OR SO LATER AT JACKS PLACE*

*ISABELLA'S POV*

"Hey Tay can you bring me my phone please" I yell hoarsly through the hall. Everyone is at Jack's place but I'm still sick and Taylor insisted he stay with me. He walks in with my phone, sitting down next to me.

"Ok so we have Frozen or The Conjuring."

"The Conjuring duh." I say, laughing lightly and ending up in another coughing fit.

"Sorry you're sick love." He says, allowing me to curl into his side and fall asleep within the next few minutes.

*HANNAH'S POV*

I walk into the backyard just to be pulled back inside by Hayes. He puts a finger over his lips and hides behind a couch. A loud voice from behind me makes me jump and I jump on top of Hayes. He puts a hand over my mouth and remains silent. A pair of footsteps sounds through the hall and suddenly Savanna and Gilinsky appear.

"I know someone is in here I heard y'all." Savanna says, moving around some objects in the kitchen. Jack suddenly falls to the floor and Hayes bursts out laughing, me not too far behind him.

"I knew that would work!" Jack yells enthusiastically. Hayes gets up and calls truce, walking off with them to go find the next pair of people. I decide now is a good time to get him back for all the times he's pranked me. I slowly creep up behind them, hiding behind a bookshelp and waiting for them to come back. After a lot of laughing and crashing sounds, they all walk back in my direction.

I jump out, landing on Hayes's back. He shrieks and falls to the ground, everybody laughing. Jack and Veronica run out from somewhere, and I realize everyone is found except Kelsie and Shawn. I get up to go look and Hayes starts tickling my sides.

"HAYES NO" I screech, falling onto the floor.

We wrestle around until we get tired, and decide just to wait for Shawn.

*SHAWN'S POV*

I talk about some random movie while Kelsie stares down at the ground intently. We are playing hide and seek and I thought it would be funny to hide on the roof. I guess she didn't.

"Kelsie you aren't going to die don't worry." I say, pulling her into my arms and humming lightly. I'm really gonna miss her at the end of summer. Even though I'm hoping she will come on tour with me, I'm not too sure.
