*EL'S POV*

I wake up from that horrible dream and feel in the bed for Nash. Although I can't see him I can see his shadow so if he's in here I'll find him.
(Whoops sorry if I scared ya;) )

"Here babe, sorry I was getting your contacts from the doctor."

"Yay! I had the worst dream that I went completely blind and-" I rambled on listening to him fumble with the box of contact lenses.

"Open your eyes and lean back." I did as he said, until I felt a cool liquid over my eye. I blinked it into place as he put in the next one.

"Anything?" He asks, looking at me.

"I can see your outline."

"Yay!" He engulfs me in a hug, his enthusiasm much stronger than mine. I can already feel the drugs kick in as I start to doubt all he says.

"Are you doing this for me or you Nash, because I feel like all you care about is if I can see or not." That's what came out of my mouth, but what's going through my head is all the reasons why I know he truly cares about me.

"What?"

"Sorry."

"It's ok.

I sigh and lean back, my eyes watering from the contacts. He wipes away the tears and kisses my head.

"We need to leave in an hour babe."

I roll my eyes, and stand up. I slowly feel along the wall to the bathroom.

"I'm using my time to bathe in a hot bath."

"I'm using it to bathe with you."

I raise my eyebrow, hoping I'm looking at him. I hear him laugh.

"Pleaseeeeeeee." he whines.

I start the bath, nearly tripping into the tub.

"Fine nash."

"YAY!!"

Sometimes I wonder to myself why I like him, but I never have to go very far because there are so many reasons. And as I look at his figure walking around the room gathering my stuff, I couldn't think of a place I'd rather be.

(😉😉)

*2 DAYS LATER*

"Nash!!! I want to leave!!"

"Only an hour left!"

"Nooooooooo" I whine, jumping up and walking around the room. Since I got my energy and strength back a sumo wrestler couldn't hold me down. And believe me Nash has already told me how we are gonna need one.

I still can't see at all, figures and shadows being the only things detectable. But it's slowly improving, if someone gets close enough I can make out who it is.

That's good. I think.

"Nash where are you?"

"Bathroom"

I walk into the bathroom, immediately seeing him in front of me facing the mirror. I run my fingertips down his sides, his skin warm from the shower. He turns around and kisses my cheek.

"Do you want to shower before we leave?"

I shake my head.

"I'd rather shower at your place."

"Our place." I smile, pulling myself into him. He rocks us back and forth, his thumbs sneaking into the waistband of my leggings.

"I love how you think that's ok." I giggle, pushing away from him and going and sitting in my bed. I hear footsteps and a door open, the doctor for my final checkup.

"Hi Brielle, how are you feeling?"

"Bored. Hungry. My legs hurt. But other than that pretty good."

He laughs, and I feel the bed dip beside me.

"Why don't you lay down on your back for me."

I lay down as he carefully pushes on my stomach asking if it hurt anywhere. After multiple fits of laughter I get a clean bill of health and the ticket out of this hellhouse.

"Thank your Doctor Conner! Hopefully I won't see you soon!" Whoops, that sounded worse than I meant it.

He laughs, moving his hand like its no big deal.

"I know you wish never to come back here but we will need to do another vision test on you in a week or so. Nash has the date."

"Ok, thank you again."

"Yep."

He exits the room, leaving me and Nash to pack up and leave as soon as possible.

"Nash are you done I want to go ear Chick Fil A and listen to movies."

I hear him laugh, and I follow his voice until I see him by the door. He hasn't left my side for almost a month, and I don't know how he isn't tired of me yet. I grab his hand and open the door. He leads me out of the room and out of the hospital. Leaving me free from torture.

Or so I thought.
